North West Is Casually Dropping An Album At 10 Years Old

Everyone remain calm: Thee Miss Miss Westie just announced her debut album, Elementary School Dropout. Her mother may be hard at work studying for that bar exam, but apparently, North is over her education and focused on rap stardom now. It’s clear to her nearly 20 million TikTok followers that the young nepo baby was literally born for the spotlight — she adores the camera, posts about every three seconds, has natural charm, and inherited her father’s jarringly blunt way of speaking. Those reality TV/extremely vocal musician genes really do shine through.

15 years from now, you’re gonna wanna be able to say that you were one of North’s OG fans. Luckily for you, I’m a stan. Sooo, here’s everything you need to know about the social media sensation’s upcoming album. Personally, I’m crossing my fingers for a feature from her bestie, Selena Gomez’s little sister, Gracie Teefey. And yes, I will be shamelessly competing against Gen Alphas on Ticketmaster for tix to North West’s Elementary School Dropout World Tour.

Vulture 2 who? Much like Taylor Swift at the Grammys, North hijacked Kanye’s event to announce her own album. Slay. The people who attended the Phoenix, AZ Vulture 2 listening event cheered her on as she announced new music. “I’ve been working on an album,” North revealed. “And it is called Elementary School Dropout.” Everyone there was gagged, I’m sure.

North’s Album Title References A Kanye Album

If you’re a Kanye fan, um, I have a few questions for you. But also, you probably picked up on North’s reference to his famous 2004 album, The College Dropout. She really said: I actually already graduated from Kardashian University, so the grind starts now. Honestly, it’s possible that Kanye convinced her to do this as some kind of 20th anniversary celebration of his record.

North Made Her Musical Debut On Kanye’s Last Album

The definition of “spitting bars” is North’s feature on Kanye’s Vultures 1 song, “Talking.” This poetry lives rent-free in my brain: “It’s your bestie, Miss, Miss Westie/ Don’t try to test me / It’s gonna get messy / Just, just bless me, bless me / It’s your bestie, Miss, Miss Westie.” Don’t you dare test my bestie, Miss Miss Westie!!

The song earned North her first appearance on the Billboard charts. (I’m sure there will be many more.) The track featuring the 10-year-old debuted and peaked at No. 30 on the Hot 100, so she’s already more successful than plenty of grown adult artists. I simply cannot wait to witness North’s first real musical era.
