Cody Ko’s Response To Tana Mongeau
Has Cody Ko Responded To Tana Mongeau’s Allegations?
Despite social media users flooding Cody’s Instagram comments to demand a statement from him, the YouTube star hasn’t directly commented on the allegations yet. He’s been receiving criticism for staying silent on the matter and for going forward with performing a DJ set at the Encore Beach Club in Las Vegas on July 19.
However, Cody will be stepping away from his podcast network, TMG Studios, as a result of the controversy. The YouTuber and his TMG co-founder, Noel Miller, shared a statement with their paying subscribers on July 26. “As we enter into this next phase of the studio, we wanted to let you know that Cody will not be involved in the day-to-day operations at TMG Studios,” the statement reads.
It continues, “What has transpired over the past few weeks is a personal issue for him, and Cody wants to remove any effect this is having on your professional and personal lives and the work you and our other hosts have done to make TMG Studios so successful.” The shows under the network are currently on hiatus, and Noel will be the only creative lead for TMG moving forward.
Influencers Who Have Commented On Tana Mongeau’s Cody Ko Allegations
Brittany Broski
Brittany and Cody are friends and collaborators, so fans were eager to hear her thoughts. “I’m crushed to learn about the Cody allegations,” Brittany wrote in an Instagram Story. “If it’s proven to be true then that’s extremely upsetting as a collaborator and longtime fan. I find all of this disturbing, inappropriate and just flat out disappointing.” She’s been getting a lot of heat because many people found her “if it’s proven to be true” wording offensive.
D’Angelo Wallace
The popular commentary creator brought more attention to the issue in his July 14 YouTube video titled “An uncomfortable conversation about Cody Ko.” In the video, D’Angelo says that Tana’s claims shouldn’t be “treated as an open secret and swept under the rug.” He points out that another influencer, Gabbie Hanna, seemingly corroborated Tana’s story, and he also notes that Cody is “heavily censoring” his YouTube comments. At the end of the video, D’Angelo urges Cody to address the allegations.
Trisha Paytas
Trisha’s been talking about Cody Ko since that clip of Tana making the allegation during the live taping of Cancelled surfaced. “25 and 17 is gross,” Trisha said during a June 11 episode of Just Trish. “25… you’re a full-fledged adult, and this is a person that’s an actual child.” She emphasized, “Yikes.” She encouraged Cody to respond to the allegations, noting, “It looks more sus that you’re not addressing it.”
The social media star has continued to take Tana’s side on several episodes of Just Trish, and she also had Tana on the show to talk about it.
Brianna Chickenfry
Although Brianna hasn’t addressed the allegations in her own social media content, she spoke about Tana’s allegations during the July 24 episode of her and Dave Portnoy’s podcast, BFFs. “I feel shitty that I haven’t said anything about it,” she said. “It is a fucking crime and it’s really weird that he hasn’t said anything about it yet.”
Brianna explained that she had a private conversation with Tana about Cody. “I texted Tana personally a month ago,” she said on the podcast. “I was just like, ‘You’re brave for coming forward. I went through something similar.'”
Stay tuned to see if Cody Ko makes a statement about Tana Mongeau’s allegations.
