Tana says that at the time, she was 17 and the Canadian YouTuber was 25. Although the social media star and Cancelled host has previously discussed hooking up with Cody, she’s now emphasizing that she was a minor when it allegedly happened. This wave of Cody controversy began on May 30 when Tana made the allegation during a live taping of Cancelled, and it continues to get more attention online as Tana and other creators speak about it. We reached out to Cody’s team for a comment, but did not hear back by the time of publication.

May 30, 2024: Tana Mongeau publicaly says she hooked up with Cody Ko when she was 17
At a live Cancelled show in Sacramento, California, audience members asked Tana questions while she was in the “hot seat.” When one fan asked about “the smallest dick [she’s] ever had sex with,” Tana replied, “Oh my god, no one look at me. Cody Ko. I can say that. I was literally 17.”

After Tana brought up Cody during her show, she received a lot of hate online from people who didn’t believe her accusations. When she appeared on Just Trish, Tana called that kind of response “heartbreaking.” She explained, “After it started going viral, seeing so many people not believing me, being like, ‘It’s Tana, so who cares’ … I started feeling bad for so many other girls who maybe look up to me and want to speak their truth and see the way that people just don’t believe people.”
Tana told Trish that many people in the industry want to “protect” Cody. She said that she’d probably be getting more sympathy if he was a less popular influencer.

Tana spoke about Cody again during the June 21 episode of Cancelled. “I hooked up with Cody Ko when I was 17 and he was 25,” she stated, adding, “Yeah it happened.” The podcast host shared that she doesn’t “associate or hold it with trauma” because “worse things” have happened to her in her life. She did note: “At 25 now, I would never do anything like that so I’m like, ‘What the fuck was wrong with you?’”
She also claimed that fellow social media star Gabbie Hanna once pulled Cody aside and warned him, “Yo, [Tana’s] 17.” Tana says she and Cody still went and hooked up after Gabi spoke with him.
July 14, 2024: D’Angelo Wallace makes a video about the situation

Popular YouTuber D’Angelo Wallace posted a video about the matter titled “An uncomfortable conversation about Cody Ko.” In the video, which is approaching three million views, D’Angelo says to Cody: The allegations “should still be looked at and not treated as an open secret and swept under the rug like you’ve been doing for so many years now.”
D’Angelo concluded that Tana and Cody were collaborating around the time of the alleged incident, that there’s a hard-to-find clip of Gabbie seemingly corroborating Tana’s story, and that Cody is currently “heavily censoring” his YouTube comments. The YouTuber encouraged Cody to address the allegations.
July 19, 2024: Cody Ko does a DJ set in Las Vegas
Cody has not publicly responded to Tana’s claims yet. Some social media users expressed their disappointment when he did a DJ set at the Encore Beach Club in Las Vegas before acknowledging the accusations.
