I know this is a hot take, but Sabrina Carpenter’s slower songs (like “Don’t Smile”) are actually my favorite to rock out to. That being said, I knew little miss thing was about the turn the volume TF up at the 2025 Grammy Awards since she has such a strong repertoire of certified sexy bops to choose from (“Bed Chem,” I’m looking at you). It may be the 67th time the Grammys are being held, but it’s the first time the Short n’ Sweet blonde is hitting the main stage on CBS. She probably won’t be gracing the carpet with her alleged ex-mans, Barry Keoghan, but I have a feeling the Irish lad will probs be watching from home, and, frankly, who could blame him???
It was basically a given Sabrina’s number was going to give grown and sexy after one of the best parts of her world tour was performing all the wildest sex positions she could think of on stage during “Juno.” Then, the hype skyrocketed when rumors spread that Sabrina and Chappell were going to collab?! This is the type of musical match-up I tune into awards shows for (and while we’re on the subject, can someone please explain why the Oscars canceled all the original song performances like I’m five?).

Sabrina sang a medley of her biggest hits from the year, “Espresso” and “Please, Please, Please.” Not gonna lie, the performance was shorter and sweeter than I expected, but, hey Sabrina sounded wonderful as she gracefully pranced down the stairs on stage going back and forth between the two certified bangers. Some of Sabrina’s other incredibly popular songs from the last year, like “Bed Chem,” “Taste,” and “Coincidence” to name a few, didn’t make the setlist. It’s a little less surprising that she didn’t throw it back to “Nonsense” which she performed all around the world on tour, and on Saturday Night Live.

Sabrina hinted at her on-stage aesthetic from the moment she stepped onto the red carpet in an Old Hollywood Cinderella moment. The same baby blue and sparkles were the focus of Sabrina’s visual vibe throughout Sabrina’s several subtle outfit changes on stage. She rocked a glitzy and glam beaded blue bodysuit, lined with chunky blue gems that looked Swarovski-level chic.
As she made her way down the stairs from the ornate blue house that served as her set, Sabrina’s outfit kept losing layers. She was basically a walking chandelier, mimicking the ones hanging over her head. It instantly reminded me of Lady Gaga’s famous camp spectacle at The Met Gala.
Even though dancer-style corsets are pretty much Sabrina’s bread a butter (along with her trademark nude illusion fishnets and curls) it was nice to see the mini legend switch it up with a playful color palette and feathery accessories. I don’t exactly have proof Sabrina watched Pamela Anderson in The Last Showgirl and loved the looks buuuuuut that’s feeling like a v educated guess rn. Twirl, diva, twirl!
