Insider Travel Tips On How To Recreate Your Own 'Love Island' Vacation

What if I told you that even though the iconic sixth season of Love Island USA is technically over, you could still keep the Fijian paradise vibes going? A little birdie (sadly not one named Ariana Madix) filled me in on all the dreamy spots our favorite Islanders made out/yelled “fawk!” on. I know Debbie Downers everywhere are making it seem like summer ends with August, but as long as it’s still hot enough for me to get away with wearing a bra as a shirt while sipping an Aperol Spritz then legally it IS summer. Which means there’s still time to jet off to a remote island with zero explanation to anyone in advance (it’s called moving in silence, look it up). Why drunk text your ex when you can black out on tropical vitamin D instead (I was talking about the sun, get your mind out of the gutter)? Voila: a travel guide to vacation like a Love Islander in Fiji.

Where is the Love Island USA Villa in Fiji?

The brand-new villa created for season 6 of Love Island USA is located on the main island of Viti Levu (which is sat about 30 minutes from Nadi Airport) according to Tourism Fiji.

How To Recreate The Love Island Final Dates

Grab Drinks At A Floating Bar

When baby’s on vacation (for hopefully unnecessary clarification, I’m baby) I need all the frozen drinks I can hold at once within arm’s reach, especially if I have a lover there to foot the bill. Cloud 9 floating bar (where islanders like Kenny and JaNa floated around on a day bed) charters guests out from the beach to where daily DJs and water toys await. Plus there’s a wood-fired pizza oven for the drunk munchies. Get me there, yesterday.

Couples Parasailing

Though the saying distance makes the heart grow fonder usually applies to the distance between a couple and not from that couple’s feet to the ground, I do think being dragged 200 feet in the air behind the boat is quite the bonding experience. It sure looked like it bonded Nicole and Kendall for life (well, until Nicole posted a low-key alarming Instagram Story implying they haven’t been flying so high since leaving Fiji). Still, with companies like Kai Wai Watersports, 12 minutes of temporary airborne bliss awaits. You can even come down from the adrenaline rush on a private freaking island(!!!!). Gosh, life in Fiji is hard.

Romantic Dinner At The Fiji Orchid

I need every restaurant to hear me loud and clear: We need LOW lighting, at all times. Ideally, candlelight, if you’re asking me (and I’m talking real candles, not those electric tea lights). The Fiji Orchid has those of us who thrive on ambiance covered. Raymond’s is the dreamy hotel restaurant where JaNa and Kenny unwrapped dozens of handwritten notes from their family. While unconditional love is not on the menu, they do offer fresh AF South Pacific seafood.

Spa Day

You don’t have to be in love to love yourself, okay? If you’re planning a solo vacay to Fiji (and why the fuck not, might I add) take yourself on a spa date at the Westin. If their heavenly spa is enough to release the islanders’ second-hand cortisol from Kaylor and Aaron’s drama for six weeks, I’m pretty sure it can heal anything.
