The Best And Worst Dressed Stars At The 2024 Emmys

If judging celebrities outfit was an Olympic sport, call me Michael Phelps. I spend all year preparing and training for Award Season by double tapping in Instagrams and rolling my eyes so hard I almost go blind. The 75th Primetime Emmy Awards are here and, off the bat, the step-and-repeat backdrop has won worst dressed. Awful. But let’s really get into it, and discuss the best and worst dressed stars on the 2024 Emmys red carpet.

Meghann Fahy (Best)

Meghann Fahy wearing Armani. Elegance personified. Hair is sleek and great. Makeup is warm and fabulous. Obsessed.

Suki Waterhouse (Best)

Side boob is out, side bump is in. Probably my favorite pregnancy look I’ve ever seen. Is that crazy?

Dominque Fishback (Worst)

It’s giving Cinderella on ice, and that’s never been a compliment.

Camila Morrone (Best)

Audibly gasped at this one. Never seen someone look so good. This dress is structured so beautifully. My eyes don’t know where to look first. Showing this hair at my next DryBar appointment

Quinta Brunson (Worst)

Yes, I know it’s the intentional style of the fabric, but this is the kind of un-ironed, wrinkled-mess look I panic about when I have a destination wedding and have to pack my silk dress in a carry-on. Nightmare fuel.

Rachel Brosnahan (Best)

I’m putting this is the best category because I think she objectively looks amazing. Like, radiant. But I’m not sure I love the dress? I’m stressed. I want to like it and I don’t hate it, but something isn’t quite landing.

Issa Rae (Best)

Regal. As. Shit.

Katherine Heigel (Worst)

Unless she openly says this early-’00s prom-inspired look is a nod to Denny Duquette, it’s a miss.

Ali Wong (Worst)

Jump scare.

Ayo Edebiri (Best)

This is the next generation of Hollywood royalty, baby!!!! Everything about this is a huge win. The length, the silhouette, the LEATHER. Ayo has been doing this Award season *correctly*.

Aubrey Plaza (Best)

Cool. Chic. Different. The giant needle in the middle would make me a little anxious, but the color is great and different for Aubrey and the shape is to die for.

Ariana Debose (Best)

Retweeting myself above: Cool. Chic. Different. The train on this skirt takes it up about 10 notches.

Selena Gomez (Worst)

I’m going to be so honest. This outfit made me Google “who is Selena Gomez’s stylist,” just so I can know who to blame for all of this. Now, I can’t be 100% sure this is true, but Google told me that it’s Erin Walsh… and my jaw fell on the floor. Erin is also fashion-icon, never-misses Queen of Genovia Anne Hathoway’s stylist!!!! I hold her in the highesssst regard. So the only thing I can assume is Hailey Bieber is paying her under the table to keep Selena in this fashion rut.
