Maybe one day we can hope the cast of Love Is Blind will stop being so messy, but today is not that day. After weeks of secret-kids watch, my cup overrunneth with Tyler-related tea. Finally, we’ve arrived at the reunion and it seems Tyler and Ashley are still husband and wife, despite all the online chaos and rumors about Tyler’s sperm donor babies. Obviously, his and Ashley’s side of the story is very different than everything that’s been been floating around on TikTok and Reddit. But yeah, I still don’t trust this man even a molecule. Before I commence the mandatory Tyler dragging, let me just say that Ashley made a stunning bride. In fact, their whole wedding was beautiful down to the way she let her dad walk her down the aisle but ultimately was handed off by her mom. It’s a real shame Tyler is a dog of Clifford The Friendly proportions because otherwise, this would’ve been one of the most heartwarming Love Is Blind love stories yet. Although I don’t approve of Tyler post-reunion, Ashley spent the reunion looking at her man like he was an adorable brand-new puppy. What was Ashley’s reaction to the situation with Tyler’s kids?

It seems the large majority of Tyler and Ashley’s discussions about his kids happened off camera, which is not really ideal for a thing called a reality show. Especially when both parties are so delulu about their love they refuse to share with the rest of the class. During the reunion, Ashley explained that Tyler had shared details about the sperm donor kids with her in private, and she requested to have a conversation about it on camera just so that the experience would feel more authentic. Although she was surprised by his news at first, she ultimately understood and had empathy for her husband. “With him growing up in a single parent household… it was very hard for him to remove himself and not be involved when this is now a single mom.” Translation: Ashley genuinely believes Tyler was helping out his friend because that’s just the kind of guy he is. She added, “I just know that he is a good person who went in a little too deep and didn’t know what to do next.” I might point out that Tyler’s situation is more than “a little deep” so if he didn’t know how to fix it, proposing on national television seems like a weird way to handle it, but maybe that’s just me!
It was somewhat clear even before the reunion that Ashley and Tyler were still together by the way she’d come to his defense online. As transcribed by Life & Style, on October 19, Ashley responded to a comment going in on Tyler’s “foul,” “broke” behavior. She wrote off the words as “slander” based on “unauthenticated proof.”

In a round-up of BTS moments between filming posted on October 21, Ashley included multiple loved-up shots of herself with Tyler, such as his “re-proposal” after their “relationship hiccup.” She also included flowers she gave to Tyler’s mom and an ~inspirational quote~ slide stating “It’s not what I intended for myself, but I feel like it’s worth the reward, which is you.” Under the post, Ashley liked multiple comments in support of her relationship with Tyler, including one that read “That is Ashley’s man!!! I need everyone to leave them alone! They clearly worked through their problems && that’s what commitment is all about!” She also threw a heart on a reply that told her to “Keep [her] man” because “No one has a clean closet.” Uhhhh that’s sure putting Tyler’s baggage likely, isn’t it?! Three kids from an existing relationship? NBD. Implying those three kids were purely an act of sperm donation to a lesbian couple when their mother is repeatedly claiming to have proof of the opposite? That’s a closet Marie Kondo would have trouble tidying up.

Ashley also shared a subtle hint of her feelings in a silent makeup tutorial posted on October 21. The TikTok sound quips how it’s “always women” in the comment section trying to “tear other women down.” The message of the post seemed to be that the negative comments about Tyler and how she should leave him are “influencer hate” that she shouldn’t have to take.
Do Ashley and Tyler get married?
On the 12th episode of Love Is Blind season 7, Tyler and Ashley officially get married. The only discussion shown of children on that day is the future kids Tyler says he is excited to have with Ashley in about a year from their wedding day. Their mutual “I do” comes as little surprise after their consistent positive posting about each other and the “no regrets” they had about their experience with the experiment. A year later, it appears they’re still happily married and not pressed about the sperm babies drama. To each their own, I guess…
