Demi Lovato Is Confident Fiancé Jordan Lutes Is The One She's Been Waiting For

2024 has been a big year for frozen yogurt fiend Demi Lovato. The singer’s cool summer ended with the release of her directorial debut documentary Child Star in September 2024. The documentary features the first-person perspective of children who grew up in the exploitative entertainment industry, which is a subject the Disney alum obviously knows way too much about. Turns out 2025 might be an even better year for Demi, considering she’s now planning her wedding to her fiancé, musician Jordan “Jutes” Lutes (though she told People she’s not giving away the date quite yet). Demi hasn’t always been so lucky in love: who could forget the sticky situation with her first fiance, Max Ehrics? But it looks like all the frogs Poot had to kiss to find the LOHL have finally paid off. Who is Jordan “Jutes” Lutes? Let’s walk down Lover’s Lane to find out, shall we?

What is Jordan Lutes’ job?

Jordan is a 32-year-old Canadian musician whose stage name is Jutes. He is an alt musician who departed from his label Capitol Records during Covid to focus on taking his career independent. If you ask me, Jordan kinda sorta definitely resembles Machine Gun Kelly and his music is in the neighborhood of MGK, too.

How long have Demi and Jutes been together?

Demi and her now fiancé Jordan Lutes announced their relationship in August 2022. They had met eight months earlier when collaborating on Demi’s song “Substance” and bonded over their sobriety journey. After getting close while working on Demi’s album Holy Fvck, friendship turned to romance and that romance turned into a proposal with a diamond ring on December 17, 2023.

What has Demi Lovato said about her fiance Jordan Lutes?

Demi has written many an Instagram love letter to their fiance, including a birthday post gushing about how they “waited [their] whole life to find” him. When discussing what makes her happy with People while promoting Child Star, Demi said she “values” and “cherish[es] love so much in [her] life” which starts with her fiance, followed by her family, best friends, and dogs. They “[mean] more to me than anything because that’s really truly what life is about: love.” Demi “lives and breathes” for their connection and pictures herself growing old with Jordan. Demi showed off her engagement ring and her man on the red carpet for the Hulu doc, where they both matched in all-black everything. Call me sappy, but I really do hope a man named Jutes is the happy ending Demi has worked so hard to make it to.
