Tweets About Matt Rife That Are Funnier Than Anything Matt Rife Has Ever Said

Unfortunately, “comedian” Matt Rife is back on our homepages. The only silver lining is that this time, it’s for a much funnier reason. To refresh your memory, last week he made headlines for a domestic violence joke in his Netflix special, “Natural Selection.” After facing backlash, Matt decided to double down on his joke by posting an “apology” on Instagram. In response to the criticism, Matt posted a photo of himself with the caption: “If you’ve ever been offended by a joke I’ve told, here’s a link to my official apology.” When tapped, the link brought followers to a health website where they could purchase special needs helmets. Sick, dude.

In doing all this misogynistic, un-funny shit, Matt alienated the female fanbase who made him famous. Those who once thirsted over him are now laughing at him, not with him.

This week, we all got to laugh a bit harder.

Quick bit of background: In addition to his TikTok viral crowd work, Matt’s famous for his jawline and cheekbones, which he attributes to late-in-life puberty. Sure, Jan.

Despite his insistence that his glow-up was totally natural, fans have had their doubts. On Tuesday, November 28, plastic surgeon TikToker @manyfacesofchicago uploaded a new video that caused even more speculation:

In the clip, Dr. Benjamin Caughlin MD, FACS skips down a hallway with the words, “Me after creating the greatest jawline ever seen just for my patient to get canceled right after…” All things considered, everyone obviously assumed he’s talking about Mr. Rife. Oh, and that he captioned the video ,“He shall not be named… #cancelled #jawlinecheck #comedian #standup #celeb”

#jawlinecheck is too good.

Matt, physically unable to keep his mouth shut, commented on the video: “Lying about medical history is illegal, just FYI.” He thought he ate that up, but commenters were quick to write things like, “he didn’t even mention you” and “you’re giving yourself away.”

The whole things is just really funny and the tweets about it are deeply funnier than anything Matt’s ever said in his career.
