Mark Your Cal For The Worst Day Of The Year, Thanks To The Super Blue Moon

Are you stressed, annoyed, and want to blow up at anyone who pushes your buttons? If so, you’re feeling the vibe of the collective. The overall energy is giving drama. Even celebs are having a moment. From Blake Lively’s alleged beef with costar and director Justin Baldoni on the set of It Ends With Us to Jordan Chiles having her Olympic bronze taken away  — we are seeing our faves undergo issues the same time as us, just at another level. Yes, this summer’s heat wave is over, but now we’re serving cranky to anyone who crosses our paths. The astrology for the rest of August is intense with its height occurring on August 19. That is when it pops — so watch out for the piping-hot spectacle that climaxes on the 19th.

IKYK, I hate to be negative. I’m not an apologetic astrologer who wants everyone to freak out. The energy we are experiencing is currently brewing. And that doesn’t even include the weekly shade on Real Housewives. Lots more will unfold and I intend to give a PSA to help you get through the worst day of 2024

Understanding The Super Blue Moon August 2024

The rare super blue moon in Aquarius, which occurs on August 19, aspects Mercury retrograde in Leo and wild card Uranus, who’s in Taurus. These three fixed planets are creating a fixed T-Square, which is a very tense planetary connection. Putting the puzzle pieces all together means that we will confront people and situations.

Watch out for texts, DMs, phone calls, or emails from frenemies and exes wanting to pop off about the past or unresolved feelings. You can offer them closure, but only if it feels comfortable or safe. Please don’t allow them to pressure you into communicating with them. You’re the one in control of the decisions you make. And if they trick you into having a conversation, swiftly remove yourself. Unfortunately, not engaging is the best way to deal.

When Was The Last Super Blue Moon?

Let’s go deeper into understanding the blue moon. The last time Earthlings experienced the super blue moon in Aquarius was in the summer of 2014. In between the previous ten years, we’ve had several blue moons, supermoons, and full moons in Aquarius — but not all of those qualities at the exact moment.

Full moons bring matters to light; they expose emotions and secrets. Blue moons occur when there are two full moons in 29.5 days. The last full moon was on July 21 (remember, when President Biden dropped out of the election).  A supermoon brings the moon closer to Earth, creating a “perigee” and making the moon appear brighter and more prominent. We feel that on a soulful level because we’re composed of over 60% water, and the moon controls the tides of the ocean, which affects us deeply.

Full and blue moons signify endings since they occur at the end of the lunar cycle. The moon’s tight proximity to Earth amplifies the sentiment. Therefore, it’s very charged and loaded. The blue moon catalyzes change, pushing us to break free and out of partnerships, friendships, and circumstances holding us back. If we aren’t ready, willing, or wanting to let go, the universe will do it for us in the messiest way possible. Don’t dwell for too long. Whatever is transforming or exiting your life might be for the best. Remember, every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end. You might have space for something exceptional as a result. So, chin up and dry those eyes.

Why Is August 19 The Worst Astrological Day Of The Year?

Besides the super blue moon causing havoc, the astrology temperature from the other transits happening on August 19 is complicated and aggravating. The player of social endeavors, Venus in Virgo, expansive Jupiter in Gemini, and authoritative Saturn retrograde in Pisces make a fraught mutable T-Square. The notable part of this frenetic connection is the aspect between Jupiter and Saturn. Looking back, Jupiter in Gemini and Saturn in Pisces last squared off in the same signs and degrees on July 6, 1965. Siri, why is this relevant for history buffs? The United States formally entered the Vietnam War on this date. Oh, and rebellious Uranus is rock and rolling over the prideful Sun in Leo and the humanitarian moon in Aquarius, escalating the friction. You say you want a revolution? It’s here.

On a personal level, the mishmash from Venus, Jupiter, and Saturn retrograde will make us feel unseen, argumentative, and defiant. Our insecurities will be escalating due to Venus and Saturn retrograde opposing each other in the sky. Jupiter is increasing these sentiments while focusing on people or situations that aren’t elevating our happiness. We might feel stuck and unable to make progress. It’s okay if you’re going through that. Take a pause and relax. Don’t push a star-shaped peg through a circular opening. Know your limits and when to walk away. Be careful not to project onto others. If people do that to you, put the discussion on ice. Set the boundary. Say “no.” The mutable vibes are contagious — so focus on yourself and no one else.

Several planets are retrograde now: Mercury, Saturn, Neptune, and Pluto, which is why it’s best to slow down with the universe. Do an activity that induces TLC and self-care. The most crucial relationship in the world is the one with yourself. Give yourself kindness and love. Make sure your cup is full before pouring energy into another’s. Most importantly, believe in yourself and all that you do.
