In case you’ve been living under a rock lately, the current political landscape is prettyyy intense rn, with Joe Biden dropping out of the presidential race months before the election. While some were shocked when they heard the news on Sunday, many astrologers, like myself, predicted this happening YEARS ago. In 2019 and 2020, I stated that Biden would not run for a second term and that the future is bright for Kamala Harris. So, now that we’ve seen the power of astrology in real-time, here’s what I think will happen in the 2024 election, based on the Cosmos.
How Did I Know Biden Was Going To Drop Out?

To better understand what prompted Biden’s decision, we must look at the president’s birth chart. Biden was born on November 20, 1942, at 8:30 AM in Scranton, Pennsylvania. His “Big Three” planets are Scorpio sun, Taurus moon, and Sagittarius ascendant/rising.
Two full moons in Capricorn occurred this summer. The first was on June 21, and the second was on July 21. The June 21 full moon was in the very early degrees of Capricorn, indicating that political and governmental matters were part of the discourse (Capricorn represents bureaucracy) were on the horizon. The second full moon was at the late degrees of Capricorn, alluding to an ending. With Neptune in Pisces galvanizing the second Capricorn full moon on July 21, in the last degree of the final sign of the zodiac, it set the departure of Joe Biden’s presidential bid in motion. This element brought forth change and the end of a vision. The full moon on July 21 had new information brewing underneath the surface and on the horizon since transformative Pluto in Aquarius was hanging close to the moon. Therefore, July 21’s full moon proved its potency, as it brought a lot of upheaval on the political front. As a result, the old systems are shutting down, and new institutions are transforming the world.
Biden’s resignation from the presidential race on July 21 did not surprise astrologers. I had assessed years ago that Biden would be dropping out once transiting Pluto aspected his moon in Taurus. This energy was already activated in January but pushed him to withdraw his candidacy during its retrograde. The second pass of Pluto to his moon brought situations and power struggles. Add in transiting Mars (planet of action) and Jupiter (planet of expansion) in Gemini, respecting his seventh house of open enemies, and it’s clear he was
Fellow politicians — including celebrities like George Clooney, who wrote an op-ed in the New York Times — encouraged Biden to step down. Combined with personal matters, it looks like the pressure from Pluto made Biden aware of his limitations during the full moon (which was incredibly intense for him because he was born on a full moon).
The Astrology Of The Election
In December 2020 when the Great Conjunction happened — the unification of Jupiter and Saturn that happens every 20 years — Pluto was in the same degree of Aquarius as it is now. Many were eager to usher in a new president as we welcomed the Age of Aquarius. With these points engaged, we might encounter the same frenetic energy of the protests against the president from now until September. Our perception of Biden, Harris, and Trump will change, too.
Revolutionary Uranus in Taurus and dreamy Neptune retrograde in Pisces will be in a close orbit of degrees on the day of the election, making the cosmic energy bring radical results. The outcome will shock the country, but that isn’t necessarily bad. This election could result in electing the first female president.
Mercury’s pre-shadow period begins two days after the election on November 7, with the actual retrograde commencing on November 25 to December 15. Although the retroshade (the two weeks before and after Mercury’s moonwalk in which we are tracing over the same degrees as the retrograde) isn’t in full motion at the time of the election, it could cause havoc. People might demand a recount or push back once the results are known. There won’t be protests for a few days after the election. However, matters will be chaotic and upheaval since Mercury’s backspin is in Sagittarius, a rebellious fire sign that doesn’t back down from conflict or their beliefs.
Mars will be in its pre-retrograde zone from October 4 to December 6 in Cancer and Leo, with its retrograde starting on December 6 and ending on February 23, 2025. The post-retroshade clears the energy on May 2, 2025. There will be much resistance in welcoming the President-elect until May 2025. Meaning we can expect to see disruption and little peace.
The Astrology Of The Candidates
Astrologically, Kamala Harris and Donald Trump both have luck from Jupiter. The odds are more in Harris’ favor. Trump’s chart (as well as the birth chart of his running mate J.D. Vance) is more of a wildcard since Uranus is walking through his 10th house of public standing. The lunar eclipse in Pisces on September 17 will be the tipping point for the election. Winning looks positive for Harris because it’s setting off her 10th house of career. However, Harris’ success will be partially credited to the birth chart of her running mate for the position of Vice President. I guess we’ll have to wait and see who she chooses.
