All The Wild Moments From The 'It Ends With Us' Press Tour You Haven't Even Seen Yet

Unless you’ve been living under a very demure rock, I assume, like me, you’ve been deep into the It Ends With Us discourse (and if you haven’t, welcome to the dark side). If everyone thought this was going to be a simple Hollywood press tour where all the stars kiss cheeks and pose for pics they surely thought wrong. The internet has been picking sides, and whether you’re team Justin (lovingly known as the Baldoni Macaroni) or team Blake (or should I say team Blake and Ryan) the fight seems absolutely on. Do we actually know for sure what the alleged bad blood is about? Not in the slightest! But the joy of speculation is completely valid entertainment that frankly might sell more tickets than the movie ATP. Until I see someone not-spitting on someone else’s shoe, I’m not going to declare myself truly gagged, but still, it’s been a pretty loud few weeks of floral print dresses and hot pink carpets. Without further ado, the wildest moments from the It Ends With Us press tour.

Blake dodged questions about her chemistry with Justin Baldoni

While Justin has glowing reviews from previous creative collaborates (including his wife) Blake didn’t seem to want to even say his name when an interviewer asked about the on-set chemistry and process she’d witnessed in a behind-the-scenes clip. Blake responds “Where’d you see that?!” so quickly her co-star Isabella Ferrer has to step in to help the poor girl out, so I’m guessing said video won’t be up for long.

Blake has opinions about fans approaching her to talk about her character Lily Bloom

During another interview brilliantly captured by an eagle-eyed TikToker, Blake is asked how she would advise fans who might be personally touched by the sensitive nature of the It Ends With Us plot (which is a story about domestic violence) to approach her to connect. Instead of using this as an opportunity to win some points for a film already taking flack for its handling of the subject matter, Blake makes some awkies jokes about how she’ll just give fans her phone number and address if they want to talk so bad… tag yourself, I’m Brandon Sklenar trying to look chill in that moment.

Justin Baldoni’s It Ends With Us press tour best moments

@lesliee.mg both actors did a great job in their roles. But the difference in their press tour spoke very loud about their views on the movies real issue. #itendswithus #iewupresstour ♬ what was I made for backing vocals by billie eilis – xanny media

Justin, on the other hand, has been caught time and time again speaking incredibly highly of his co-star Blake, the film’s mission, and how he hopes this movie can redirect the conversation of domestic abuse from falling on the responsibility of the victim. The only potential perceived shade Justin has tossed out is when Justin said Blake would probably be better suited to direct a hypothetical sequel because she’s “ready to direct.” Encouraging more female directors in a notoriously male-dominated industry? A little bit of king behavior, I fear.

Blake Lively is a “crown straightener”

I know I’m getting old because I also didn’t know what “crown straightener” meant. Someone on Blake’s team explained to Blake what a crown straightener was after the term kept popping up in her comments, meaning she’s a woman who goes around lifting other women up. Honestly, I’m sure she does love women. Her BFF Taylor Swift is a famed collector of female friends, after all. But Blake’s delivery of how she’s obsessed with said title is inevitably going to read girl power for some while landing like a ton of bricks for others, especially given the rumored drama.
