Love her or loathe her, Britani Bateman’s thirsty behavior on her debut season as a friend of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City has certainly made an impression. Britani isn’t afraid to fully derail a heated discussion to scream “WHAT ABOUT ME?” and it’s that type of delusion that is both horrifying and entertaining enough to keep fans hooked on all mess Britani. Britani’s biggest trainwreck this season has been trying to get the other ladies to take her sloppy situationship with Jared Osmond seriously. (Mary couldn’t even pick Jared out of a lineup, let alone support Britani’s multiple failed attempts at commitment with the guy.) Britani and Jared met in the tight-knit Utah social circles run by the Mormons. In said circles, Jared is basically the “Mormon version of Prince Harry” because of his lineage from singer Donny Osmond, according to her co-star Heather Gay.
Why did Britani and Jared Osmond break up?
Britani and Jared broke up after her friends pointed out that Jared’s Instagram post about a trip to Costco wasn’t really commitment. At the time, she and Jared had been on a break “for about two weeks at that point.” That didn’t stop Jared from showing up as a grand romantic gesture, which convinced Britani to take him back.

In an October 2024 episode of the RHOSLC aftershow (which was filmed after Britani took Jared back at Angie’s mafia party), Britani revealed that she and Jared were no longer together after reconciling for the millionth time. Jared also was accused of getting flirty with Britani’s biggest opp, mother Mary Cosby, by sliding into her DMs. A Bravo fan account alleged the storyline would be dropping on an upcoming episode, and to get ahead of the smoke by clarifying he only considered Mary a “true friend.” The messages obtained by Bravo showed Jared calling Mary “a daughter of God” he feels “a spiritual connection to.” I mean, in Mormon culture, this actually could be rizz, no?

Technically, they’ve been involved since around June 2023, eight months before she started filming for season 5. That would bring their relationship to more than the year and a half mark if they had stayed together the whole time. Jared most recently recommitted to Britani (seemingly more than ever before) when he finally hard-launched their relationship on December 22, 2024. Jared got aggressively simpy about his “introducing [his] beautiful girlfriend,” explaining that when “an angel comes into your life that brings you happiness, peace, and love you hold on with both hands!”
Britani reciprocated the puppy love online with her own Instagram Story, calling Jared her “best friend,” “boyfriend” and “everything.” As seen on Salt Lake City, Brit Brit is down bad for the youngest Osmond, who has caused tension in her friendships and her relationships with her estranged daughters. So let’s just hope this time Jared can step up and stay loyal so that Britani doesn’t have to go back to her three-dates-a-night lifestyle. Otherwise, we’re DEF going to have to hear an announcement about it.
