Every year, trends from the ’90s and early aughts make a swift return—specifically in the beauty department. Butterfly clips (!!!), hair glitter, crimped strands, and brown lip liner are just a few of the beauty moments that had iconic comebacks in recent times. This fall, however, it’s all about the eyes—frosted eyes to be exact.

Think back to your favorite ’90s lewks and there was likely frosted, icy eyeshadow involved. Think shades of baby blue, mint, and of course, straight-up white across the lids. And in a time where trending eyeshadow looks are polar opposites (think neutral shades of brown shadow, or bold cut-creases seen on your fave TikTok creators), it’s a little surprising to see this on our radar again. And, of course, it all has to do with the power of celebs and their makeup artists. Hailey Bieber, Elsa Hosk, and Lori Harvey are just some of the stars who’ve rocked frosted shadow as of late.
