You fell in love with him as Tristan in Gilmore Girls. You fantasized about him as Lucas Scott on One Tree Hill. You pined for him as the love interest in A Cinderella Story and Freaky Friday. Then, in just an instant it was like, wait, where the fuck did Chad Michael Murray go?
Okay, I guess he’s been in some shit since then because I just looked him up on IMBD and he’s had a pretty steady stream of work. Now that I think about it, he was Brad Radwell on an episode of Scream Queens and has been a regular on Agent Carter, whatever that is.
Anyway. It just seems like he basically dropped off the face of the earth after his weird 5-month marriage to Sophia Bush ended and crushed our dreams of a real-life Lucas and Brooke wedding. (At least Blair Waldorf and Seth Cohen are still together, right?)
Well now Chad is back in a show you actually might want to watch…maybe. He’s staring as Sam Phillips, the founder of Sun Records, in a show on CMT called, well, Sun Records. From the trailer, it pretty much looks like an extended version of the first half of Walk the Line where Johnny Cash is just chilling with Elvis and a bunch of other (now dead) famous people.
Murray plays the record company owner guy who gives all these people their start. Idk it looks pretty juicy if you’re into that kind of thing.
Watch it, or don’t. IDC. But if you’re missing Chad Michael Murray, here’s your chance to get your fix.
