I Dug Up 'RHOSLC' Rookie Britani Bateman's Very Colorful Resume

Do you hear that, Bravoholics? It’s the sound of Meredith Marks disengaging. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is finally back for season 5 and the producers heard our desperate cries to bring back Monica Garcia… and instead provided three new frozen faces to the mix. I kid, they’re literally all gorgeous, gorgeous girls, which is pretty much a given when you have that much disposable income. Though I’m already plotting and scheming ways to befriend new full-time RHOSLC Housewife Bronwyn Newport, I’m also v curious about “messed up Mormon” Britani Bateman. Though she made an abysmal first impression on her couture-toting peers, there’s something incredibly interesting about someone willing to admit they got dumped five minutes before walking into a party full of strangers. Naturally, I went ahead and compiled every bit of tea I could to answer the burning question: Who is RHOSLC’s Britani Bateman? Go ahead and thank me later, queen.

Currently, Britani is the owner of PURE Productions (a Utah-based production space) with a splash of real estate on the side. But don’t underestimate her sparkle: Britani has quite the show business resume. Though she was born in Utah, Britani grew up in California where she toured with her family in a musical variety show. She later worked as a voice-over actress, actress-actress, Broadway actress, recording artist, professional dancer, AND model. So, safe to say Britani likes a stage and The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is just her biggest one yet.

If you’re wondering if you’ve seen her already on TV, Britani does have an IMDB page that I think Taylor Armstrong would approve of. Highlights include Disney Channel classic Pixel Perfect (yes, the one with Phil From The Future), The Mistle-Tones with Tori Spelling, and a movie called Mobsters and Mormons that I now need to stream ASAP. Britani’s Broadway credits include national tours of fan faves like Miss Saigon and The Umbrellas of Cherbourg. Advice to the rest of the cast: never underestimate the unhinged nature of a theatre kid.

Britani wastes no time revealing on Salt Lake that she’s in a sloppy situationship (okay fine, those are my words, not hers) with Jared Osmond, the nephew of musical legends Donnie and Marie Osmond. According to Brit, they’ve been “together” for eight months but have broken up about sixteen times during that time. Still, Miss Thing can’t stay away from Jared because he’s “yummy.” Honestly, relatable. Before that whole thing, Britani was married.

According to Britani’s YouTube Page, Britani was previously married to John Scott Pace Underwood with whom she shares five children. They met in a grocery store, which I guess keeps hope alive it’s possible to meet your soulmate at Trader Joe’s. According to John’s LinkedIn, he is a real estate developer and founder.

Britani has been friends with Bad Mormon, Heather Gay, for many years. Heather introduces Britani to the group in the season premiere, apparently without explaining the rules and regs of how to engage the real star of this show, Mary Cosby. A little word of advice Brit? Don’t call fashion costumes or Mary a hoarder.
