Like me, Noah Beck is a superstar athlete-turned social media sensation and Hollywood heartthrob. So yeah, it was great to connect with someone who really gets what I’m going through. I kid, I kid… I’m not famous *yet*, but I was still able to find meaningful common ground with Noah. For example, we both agree that the key to success is caffeine.
When I asked the seasoned influencer and budding actor about his yearbook superlative, he gave it a lot of thought, emphasizing, “I’m trying to niche it up.” After Noah landed on “most likely to be trying a new coffee shop at 2pm on a Tuesday,” he revealed that he actually has “no cutoff” for caffeine intake. “Some people won’t do it after noon,” he pointed out. “I’m like, that does not exist in my book. So you’ll see me there at 4 having a latte.”
And the man deserves those rebellious 4pm lattes! Between prioritizing health and fitness, traveling all the time, staying on top of his unmatched TikTok game, and starring in the instantly beloved Tubi rom-com, Sidelined: The QB and Me, his schedule seems pretty damn tiring. I’m just grateful he managed to squeeze in a visit to the Betches office, so we could have a deeply philosophical discussion and dive into what’s really important: Martha Stewart, bridges, crushes, and Brussels sprouts.

HALL OF BETCHES INDUCTION:
NOAH BECK
Congrats on your new movie! What made you wanna get into acting?
It came from just a lot of saying, “Yes.” Things presenting themselves and just kind of, I don’t know, saying, “Yes,” and having fun with it and hoping that it would be fun. And it turns out that it was, and it felt like a natural segue. I didn’t want to go into it with the naive thinking that it was going to be easy going from a small screen to a big screen. But there was part of me that loved the intrigue of starting fresh and going into this space knowing nothing about it. I liked that because I’m a very curious person. I just wanted to try something new and fall in love with it. And I did, honestly.
Awesome. I mean, it obviously worked out well.
Thank you. Thank you for that.
What would you say was the hardest part about filming, and what was the best part?
There were a few scenes where I had to not have as much fun, the sadder scenes and scenes where I’m pissed off at James Van Der Beek, who plays my dad. Those scenes were difficult because we would say, “Action,” you do the scene, and then we’d say, “Cut,” and you just start laughing because we were just having so much fun. And so getting back into that and the emotional exhaustion that came with that.
And the best part about filming, I would say just literally waking up every day and feeling like you were going to work and creating something bigger than yourself. It felt genuinely like summer camp, it was such a tight-knit group that we had.
If there was a movie about your life, what would the title be?
This is a hard one. Maybe a play on the new Netflix show, Nobody Wants This, but I’m trying to think. I’m trying to be creative for you. Here, I would do this: I would do Figuring it Out… (With a Smile), or something like that in parentheses with a smile. Just because that’s what we all are doing, we’re just figuring it out. But I try to lead with a smile, to be honest.
Love that. Who would be at your dream celebrity dinner?
Aha. Okay, so here’s my answer and my reasoning. I would have Martha Stewart because I love a home-cooked meal, and I think she would be the one making it. I wouldn’t want to have my dream celeb dinner and then order in. I would want it to be a fun home-cooked thing where you can curate the menu. So I think Martha would really whip it up in there. It’d be great. Plus she’d just be fascinating to talk to and then Frank Sinatra, just because he not only lived in this era that I through movies or shows or even music like romanticize. He not only lived in it, but he kind of curated it in a sense. His music was just so, I don’t know, a thing of the time and a thing of today’s time too-
An icon.
Yeah, an icon. Exactly. So I would just love to pick his brain up like, “What was it like?” That would be a cool one. And then I’m going to do a character because I really think Thanos from The Avengers coming in and having dinner… I would just love to pick his brain as well.
That is quite a crew.
I think that would be such a fun dinner. And I don’t know, I say Thanos because I kind of have a thing for villains because I mean they just think differently than the average person. So I would just love to be like, “Why’d you do it?”
You could get some good TikToks out of that too.
I sure could. That would be an insane TikTok, yeah.
What is the most embarrassing thing you’ve ever done to impress someone you had a crush on?
I guess a relatable thing that I’ve done is when you like someone and you have to ask through a few people like, “Yo, did she say anything about me?” I will say, I have overextended a few times to the point where they find out, you asked three of my friends.
It happens.
I would say that’s a little embarrassing sometimes, but then you hear through the grapevine that they’re also asking about you, that’s reassuring. But yeah, I would say going to exterior sources.
Yeah, that’s relatable. Picture yourself in the backseat of a car, looking out a window on a rainy day, what song is playing in your head?
It totally depends where I am.
Let’s say rainy New York City.
I would say, back to Sinatra, some jazz, or some kind of smooth jazz playing would be pretty romanticizing of the situation.
What would you say is your weirdest obsession?
Okay. I wouldn’t say, “I’m obsessed with it,” but I have this weird thing with bridges.
That is weird, yeah.
Something about a bridge is just fascinating to me. How they’re made, where do you start, that kind of thing. Like yes, I’m sure all it takes is one Google search and I’d be like, “Oh, not as cool as I thought it would be.” But that would ruin it for me. I think some of them are literally to get you from point A to B, and that’s just how they look. But then some of them are actually so beautiful to look at, and I don’t know, I think each bridge just looks… There’s not one of the same bridge.
It’s true. Do you have a favorite bridge?
I went to college in Portland, Oregon, and there was a bridge there going from where I went to school to downtown that was always so pretty. I don’t know the name of it, but it was stunning. And then in my days, there’s been a few bridges that have come close or compared. I think are some amazing ones in Europe too, just for the history of them and, yeah, just the way those things stay standing. It’s crazy.
It is crazy. How often do you Google yourself?
Not often. It’s not like I’m really doing anything, or I try not to do anything controversial where I have to keep up with what are they saying about me. I think at first there was this thing about my height that I wanted to change because it said, “I was 5’9″ online,” and I was like, “Well, I’m not 5’9″. It says on my driver’s license I’m 6′,” and so I was like, “Someone needs to change this.” And other than that, we’ve moved on.
Well, that is a big controversy. What’s the last thing you searched for on the internet?
What temperature to cook Brussels sprouts. I think I was home last night or yesterday before my flight. I was just wanting to perfect-
-Cooking Brussels sprouts?
My Brussels sprouts. Yeah, they’re in season.
