It’s been a troubling fall and not just because the entire world is falling apart before our very eyes. For the first time since President Obama (lol remember him) was in office, we experienced a serious Real Housewives drought. Sure we had other shows to carry us through, but there’s something about women over 40 screaming while holding a designer handbag that is truly healing. Finally, the streak was broken with season 2 of The Real Housewives of Dubai at the beginning of June, and we are v grateful for the very expensive fun they are bringing to our screens. But when the Real Housewives of Orange County trailer finally arrived after being teased by Andy Cohen himself as fantastic, we could all feel it in our bones: the Real Housewives are back, baby, and better than ever. There’s been a handful of sluggish seasons plagued with unmemorable one-season wonders on RHOC, but it seems like all of our loyal trust-the-process mentality has finally paid off. 48 seconds of pure bliss, if you ask me. Did anyone ask for John Mellencamp’s daughter to come back onto our screens without warning? No. But Teddi calling Vicki out for her thirsty return while wreaking of desperation to be back herself is pure camp. Speaking of surprise cameos, Sutton sits down to film for RHOC too. I don’t know what we did to deserve this but I’m thankful regardless. It’s also worth noting that they take not one but FOUR cast trips: Big Bear, Sonoma, Palm Springs, and London. This is the budget we need people!! Is Shannon Beador really going to show up for another embattled season this time because of her DUI and a cast member dating her ex-boyfriend John Jansen? She sure is, and that’s why we stan. It also looks like Gina’s relationship may be in some serious trouble, which is a big 180 from last season. Basically this trailer is chef’s kiss, no notes, I want it now.
