Unpacking The Intense Zach Sang, Brooke Schofield, And Tana Mongeau Drama

TikTok used to be a safe space where I went for some giggles, stupid dances, glow-up recs, and easy recipes. These days, it’s purely Drama Central. Are TikTokers okay?? I’m still recovering from Brooke Schofield’s 14-part TikTok series exposing Clinton Kane as a liar, his 29-part, unhinged response to her, and Madeline Argy’s interestingly timed tale about Central Cee cheating on her with Ice Spice. Meanwhile, I’m trying my best to avoid all the insane ship edits of Joe Biden and Donald Trump to Chappell Roan music… it’s really a disturbing time to be alive and on that app.

Now, there’s a brand new reason to be stressed — just what I needed! Brooke is opening up about her beef with radio host Zach Sang, and she’s not holding back. The super messy conflict has to do with his unfortunate role in the Clinton saga. There are a lot of layers to this situation, so let’s thoroughly unpack the Brooke Schofield, Tana Mongeau, and Zach Sang drama together.

The Brooke Schofield, Tana Mongeau, And Zach Sang Drama Explained

Why Is Brooke Schofield Calling Out Zach Sang?

After Brooke posted her TikTok series about Clinton, she and Tana debriefed on the July 10 episode of Cancelled. Brooke opened up about Zach’s role in the drama. According to the influencer, he shared her story before she was ready and now wants to take advantage of it for his own financial and clout gain. “He is horrible,” Brooke said, bluntly. “Zach Sang is horrible.”

Zach broke the Clinton news on The Zach Sang Show back in April 2023 when Tana was a guest. At the time, Brooke had specifically asked him not to speak about it because she wasn’t ready for the public to know. “I have no problem with exposing this man now,” she explained on Cancelled, “but at that time, I was about to kill myself. Truly. And Zach Sang was one of my closest friends, so I thought.” She recalled being “a shell of a human” after the Clinton drama and going to Zach’s studio for support. Apparently, he kept telling her, “We’re gonna sell this as a show,” which was very much not on Brooke’s mind in that moment.

Brooke emphasized, “I was doing everything in my power to make this disappear,” adding, “I needed time to get on my feet again.” After he filmed that episode of his show with Tana and shared the Clinton story, Brooke reached out to him and said: “Please, I am literally begging you to delete it from the episode. I am not ready. You can be the one to do it when it happens, but I am not ready.” Brooke claimed that the radio host then ghosted her, she heard it was being deleted, but then it came out anyway.

“At no point ever has he apologized to me for that at all,” she continued. But Zach did invite her to come on his show. Brooke obviously had mixed feelings about the invitation, but she agreed to be a guest on the condition that they would not talk about Clinton. “Not a single question about Brooke Schofield,” she said about that interview with Zach. “Only Clinton Kane. So then I go home after the episode, and I’m defeated.”

Brooke revealed during the Cancelled episode that Zach is currently trying to sell a TV show about the Clinton drama without her consent. She called Zach an “opportunistic, clout-chasing piece of shit.” Yikes.

What Has Tana Mongeau Said About Zach Sang?

Tana’s on Team Brooke, of course, so she’s also not a huge fan of Zach these days. During the same July 11 Cancelled episode, she dished, “It is so wildly known across L.A. his obsession with clout.”

But the tea reached a record-breaking level of heat during their Patreon portion of the chat. (Patreon is a video and podcast platform that requires a paid subscription.) “You know what I can say about Zach Sang that I think is wild?” Tana said. “And this will probably get me sued, so I’m hoping Patreon does not… I would never say this on the Canceled mic.”

Brooke advised her not to say what she was thinking about, but Tana went ahead and shared her thought anyway. “He goes online frequently and talks about how Ariana Grande is his best friend in the entire world, right?” she said. “It seems as though she feels the most comfortable to do her interviews on The Zach Sang Show, and he tells everyone, ‘That’s my best friend.’ Give him one singular shot of tequila and put him in a room with us, and he is telling us her deepest, darkest secrets and all the awful things she does.” Oh shit. What is he telling them about Ariana’s donut licking??

Is Zach Sang Suing Brooke Schofield?

This week, the situation continues to escalate. In Brooke and Tana’s latest Patreon conversation, Brooke shared that Zach now wants to sue her. “I get a call saying that he is threatening legal action because I have done what he considers to be ‘irreparable damage’ to his career,” she said. She claimed that she didn’t even say “most of the things [she] wanted to say” because she’s super careful.

“I don’t wanna get sued,” Brooke told Tana. “I am so strategic… I have never told so much as a slight fabrication in regards to Clinton Kane, Zach Sang, Matt Rife… I have never given any sort of misinformation.” She said that she recently got contacted by Dan Zolot, Zach’s good friend and cohost.

He texted her, asking, “What can I do to settle this?” and wanted to “resolve the issue.” Brooke told him that Zach is “a fucking sociopathic weirdo.”

She reiterated on the show that Zach hasn’t sent her an apology text or tried to fix the situation in a personal way. Zach has not publicly commented on the mess, so we only know Brooke’s perspective of the conflict for now. I shall certainly be keeping an eye on this disastrous Brooke, Tana, Clinton, and Zach saga… stay tuned for updates!
