If you missed the traumatizing finale of The Bachelorette, I’m jealous. I would give anything to go back and not watch ABC torture Jenn Tran. Needless to say, this queen didn’t get the happy ending she hoped for and deserves, and things got pretty ugly during After the Final Rose when she had to relive painful moments. Jenn was crying, Devin was sweating, and I was shaking with rage. That about sums up the nightmarish evening.
Jenn thought she found love on the show — she organized a super sweet, romantic proposal for Devin Strader and they got engaged. But then, he changed his mind the second they stopped filming; they called off their engagement just two months after finishing the show. On After the Final Rose, Jenn listed Devin’s transgressions, and one of them involves Maria Georgas from Joey Graziadei’s season of The Bachelor. Now, Maria has shared her thoughts on everything via TikTok… I’m emotionally exhausted. Let’s break down the Jenn, Devin, and Maria Bachelorette drama and process it together.
The Jenn Tran, Devin Strader, And Maria Georgas Drama Explained
Why Did Jenn Tran And Devin Strader Break Up?
Jenn spilled the devastating tea during After the Final Rose. “We had left Hawaii engaged, very happy,” she said through tears. “It was the happiest day of my life. As soon as we had left Hawaii, things were just different.” In the real world, Devin apparently stopped communicating with Jenn and swiftly pulled away from the relationship. Eventually, he broke off their engagement over a phone call.
“He had basically said that he didn’t love me anymore and didn’t feel the same way and felt like something had been off,” Jenn recalled. “He regretted getting engaged and I didn’t know.” But that somehow isn’t the worst part. She said to Devin during the finale: “The next day I wake up to you following girls on Instagram. Not just any girl, but Maria!” The audience gasped, and rightfully so. That’s a dick move indeed. When Devin signed on to The Bachelorette, he probably assumed that Maria Georgas from the last season of The Bachelor was going to be the Bachelorette. And yet, he love bombed Jenn the entire season only to break up with her right after the show. Don’t you just love men?
Are Devin Strader And Maria Georgas Dating?
That would be pretty diabolical of them! Thankfully, no. In her September 5 TikTok response to the Jenn and Devin drama, Maria shared that she didn’t even know Devin followed her on Instagram until people told her about it later. “And by that time, when I found out, he had unfollowed,” she said, adding, “Let me clear the air on something: I have never met Devin before.” If I were her, I would continue to stay far, far away.
Are Jenn Tran And Maria Georgas Feuding?

The short answer? They’re not feuding, but they’re not friends.
So, Jenn still follows Maria on Instagram, but Maria unfollowed her former costar in June after Jenn appeared on Call Her Daddy and clarified rumors about the casting process for The Bachelorette. In Maria’s version of casting (which she shared during her own Call Her Daddy appearance), she claimed that she was the first choice, but turned down the opportunity because she wasn’t ready. Jenn, on the other hand, said that there were always several women being considered. She wasn’t thrilled about the rumors that she was the second or third choice.
“This show has been going on for years and years – 21 years of this show specifically – and every season there are multiple people in contention for the role,” Jenn said on CHD. “Multiple people are doing interviews or doing fittings or filming intro packages. And it’s never really you until it’s you. That’s why I was a little disappointed. The narratives out there aren’t exactly true.” Obviously, Maria’s CHD interview contributed to that hurtful narrative.
Now, why was Maria the one who seemingly got mad in this scenario?? Beats me. It seems like Jenn has more grounds to be upset… I wouldn’t want my friend and former costar going on a podcast and telling everyone that she was the first choice for a role I worked hard to get.
But in Maria’s TikTok response, she set the record straight: “Just because separated our ways and are no longer friends doesn’t mean we hate each other. It doesn’t mean that if someone is going to disrespect her in my face, that I’m going to sit here and stand for it. Because I’m not.” She noted that her “heart goes out to Jenn.” I breathed a sigh of relief after watching that.
Maria does seem annoyed that her name came up at all during the finale. “I understand Jenn having to speak up about it — say your piece, girlfriend, I respect it,” she said in her video. “I just think without the full context, it leads people to believe a whole different narrative.” Girl, I don’t think anyone really thought you and Devin were dating.
She concluded, “I’m just a regular person who went on a reality TV show. Stop holding me to a standard that doesn’t exist.” I mean, fair enough.
Well, I’m wishing these girlies the best and wishing Devin the worst ❤️.
