The Cringiest Moments From J.Lo's Documentary

I’m not sure which was a harder watch… J. Lo’s musical movie or her documentary about making it. Combined, the films stole 2.5 hours of my life that I will never get back. Listen, I’ve rooted for Bennifer over the years as much as the next girl, but I was not missing a lengthy analysis of their love story involving a random group of celebrities, a myth, a zodiac sign lesson, and choreo that’s way too intense for the music. I also did not need a doc explaining why that was such a risky idea and trying to convince me that J. Lo is still Jenny from the Block.

Now, my entire For You on TikTok is people stitching clips of the documentary and ruthlessly mocking it, and I’m honestly starting to feel bad for J. Lo. I fear this is just a classic case of overexposure. At this point in time, the singer has possibly mentioned her block in the Bronx more than Lady Gaga has uttered the sentence: “There can be 100 people in a room, but it only takes one to believe in you.” Even icons and legends have their flop eras, and that’s okay. We still love them! I’m rooting for you always, J. Lo, but these moments from J.Lo’s The Greatest Love Story Never Told were the definition of cringeworthy.

Ben making fun of J. Lo for making herself younger in the movie

When J. Lo tells Ben that the character based on her is 28 years old, he smirks and goes, “Technically you weren’t 28.” Ope. She doesn’t smile and just responds, “Yeah. But you were.” Then, when she calls the project autobiographical,  he interjects, “Semi-autobiographical. It’s your story but younger.” I knowww he was joking, but… rough, very rough.

Every A-list celebrity turning down the offer to cameo

JenniferLopez’s new film “This Is Me… Now” features a wide and often chaotic array of guest stars — but the cast almost looked very different. From #TaylorSwift to BadBunny, here are some stars that were asked to appear in the new film, but turned it down. (📹 via Getty)

They were all conveniently too busy to make the shoot. J. Lo does not look happy when her team informs her: “Taylor Swift is a no. Jason Momoa is not available. Jennifer Coolidge, not available. Lizzo, not available.” (Vanessa Hudgens, Ariana Grande, and Snoop Dogg were also a no.) Genuinely shocking that Tay didn’t take a break from the Eras Tour and her whirlwind romance to portray a zodiac sign for a few seconds.

Ben being actively uncomfortable with the movie

It very much seems like Ben was not on board with this movie?? “Things that are private, I’d always felt are sacred and special because in part they’re private,” he says in the doc. Welp. They’re definitely not private anymore.

The messy hair that reminds J. Lo of being a crazzzzy girl in the Bronx

Yes, when I take my hair out of a bun, it also reminds me of when I was just a wild, crazy girl running up and down the block, no limits, just dreams.

Jane Fonda basically telling J. Lo not to make the film

Apparently, Jane called J. Lo’s team to warn her about “overly flaunting” her love in a way that creates “criticism or resentment.” Hit the nail on the head, I daresay. Obviously, J. Lo wasn’t concerned about that advice.
