As a pop stan, I thoroughly enjoy the American Music Awards, which are basically the poor man’s Grammys. It’s really everything I could want in an award show: pop stars singing, pop stars reacting to other pop stars singing, pop stars kiki-ing in the crowd, and of course, pop stars posing on the carpet in fabulous fits. Plus, the awards are fan-voted which is elite. Get me to god’s country, as a certain non-pop man once said.

At this year’s show, we can expect plenty of flipping from Benson Boone as he sings the moonbeam ice cream song (god help us), Reneé Rapp making her AMAs debut to perform “Leave Me Alone,” which will undoubtedly be cunty, and maybe, just maybe… an announcement from Taylor Swift that may or may not be Reputation (Taylor’s Version). But I wouldn’t hold your breath. Swifties have been wrong about their Rep (TV) predictions, like, 500 times now.

The show will be hosted by J. Lo, so prepare yourself for some cringe jokes and plenty of memes. Needless to say, you’ll probably want a ham and cheese on a roll with an orange drink when you sit down to watch… If you know, you know. There’s a pretty random list of presenters that includes Cara Delevingne, Tiffany Haddish, and new Dancing With the Stars cast member Alix Earle. Maybe the influencer will give us a preview of her moves.

I’m quite excited to judge all the red carpet looks this evening, ’cause AMAs fashion low-key slays (Selena Gomez’s 2016 red Prada dress lives rent-free in my mind). Praying the 2025 attendees don’t let me down. Let’s get right to it: Here are the best and worst dressed celebs at the 2025 AMAs.
