Are you really a fully formed adult woman if you haven’t sipped on one too many espresso martinis and accidentally insulted one of your inner circle in the most hilarious way possible? Okay, I think it’s probably safe to say RHOSLC Greek Pride icon, Angie Katsanevas, wasn’t accidentally insulting Britani Bateman at Meredith’s bat mitzvah. The way Angie looked Britani up and down before reading her so well RuPaul would’ve clapped was pretty intentional. But, TBF, Britani asked for the hot seat the moment she banged her hands on Mary’s dining room table like a five-year-old and yelled “What about ME?” Britani wanted to be the main character and her wish came true. Angie dropped some fire new lingo by telling Britani she had “high body count hair,” but what does that mean? Grab your preferred brush of choice and follow me.
What is “high body count hair”?
@hayusocial That’s high body count hair. A new episode of #RHOSLC ♬ original sound – Hayu
Having a “high body count” means someone has had sex with a lot of people (that I personally like to refer to as humans and not bodies), so by telling Britani her hair looked “high body count” Angie implied her hair looked a little bit “slutty.” Angie’s actual choice of follow-up words was “a little bit porn-ish,” which Britani quickly translated to mean “cheap.” Angie also evaluated the rest of the group, none of whom were also rocking high body count hair, dresses, or heels. It was her (polarizing) way of telling Britani her look just wasn’t up to snuff.
Why is this so funny? Because in true Real Housewives fashion, it’s a dig so unexpected and so absurd you kind of have to laugh. Besides, as Angie said, she wasn’t actually trying to slut shame Britani’s sex life. (I think the only problem any of the women have with Britani’s love life is taking it seriously.) Angie was going, shall we say, above and beyond to defend herself against shade from Britani. Britani had gossiped to Bronwyn just hours earlier about how Angie might have an unsavory sex life with her husband Shawn. Since Angie felt she gives mother, inside and out, she didn’t take kindly to the gossip and fought fire with fire by pointing out that if anyone appears as if they don’t have their shit together, it’s Britani.
Kind of hard to argue with Salt Lake City’s biggest hairdresser! While it was a true IJBOL moment on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, I highly suggest leaving the shaming (even if it’s just about your frenemy’s inferior blowout) to the Bravo professionals. Maybe just buy her Kerastase Thermique for Christmas instead.
What is “slut hair” on TikTok?
@babypinktwink SLUT HAIR 101 IS NOW IN SESSION!!! #hairtok #haircare #blowout #overnightcurls ♬ original sound – MADISON
Because the universe always knows how to balance shit out, “slut hair” has been trending on TikTok at the same time this RHOSLC scene got Bravoholics in a chokehold. A creator named Madison has been going viral for just how good her weekly blowout ages. It’s sexy, effortless, and extremely voluminous, so the girlies are calling it “slut hair,” in homage to that neighborhood bad bitch we all came across as little girls and swore we’d grow up one day to become. Unlike “high body count” hair, “slut hair” is a great thing. Girls with similar hair texture to Madison can achieve the look by following these steps.
1. Prepping their hair with an oil or mask.
2. Wash it thoroughly to get out product build-up and gently brush after washing.
3. Blow out your hair with your tools of choice (a basic brush and blow dryer still work perfectly fine) making imperfect loose curls all around. Make sure to dry the hair on the crown of your up and head away from your face and preserve the section with a curler or flexi rod covered in a sock for minimal frizz.
4. Sleep with a bonnet and that curler in each night and let the look marinate. By day two or three your blowout will morph into the messy sexy masterpiece that is “slut hair.”
