The Wildest Chapters Of Kyle And Amanda's 'Summer House' Love Story

Listen, I’m always happy when #lovewins, but that doesn’t mean I can forget how rocky the road has been to Kyle and Amanda getting to a good place. And, even though both sides of the couple are finally on the same page that things are “close to perfect,” their (much more subtle) clashing in part 2 of the Summer House makes me wonder if these two save all of their couples therapy moment for the cameras. Amanda has been dropping bombs about if and when a potential pregnancy is in their future, and now that these two Summer House OGs have made it this far (not easy!) I’m looking back at Amanda and Kyle’s Summer House relationship drama over the years.

When did Kyle cheat on Amanda?

Kyle admitted to cheating on Amanda multiple times in 2017 and 2018. He confirmed ongoing rumors of cheating during season 3 of Summer House (filmed in 2018) after he’d been with Amanda for three years. Kyle told Amanda in the pool that there was a “rumor going around that [he] hooked up with some chick in April.” The soon-to-be-confirmed rumor originated from Lindsay, who informed Kyle that he had been seen “making out with a girl all night.”

When Lindsay told Kyle, he said he couldn’t “deny it because in April, [he] had a huge night out with friends and was acting selfishly” and “completely blacked out” while acting like a “New York douche bag.” Kyle lamented that “if it was true,” he needed to “get ahead of this one” since he’d already recently been caught cheating on Amanda “well over a year ago.” At the time, cheating was the norm for Kyle since he’d “been unfaithful since I was 16,” and “commitment and faithfulness” scared the then 36-year-old. Even in the moment of being caught, Kyle pledged to “propose to this girl” even though he felt like a “scumbag.”

Did Kyle cheat on Amanda after they got married?

Kyle firmly denied rumors of cheating in 2024, pushed by Deux Moi, that alleged he was yet again unfaithful during a DJ trip to South Carolina, in an exclusive statement to Betches. Some fans found the narrative easy to believe, given that Amanda was missing from Kyle’s side at Andrea’s wedding celebrations in Italy.

Amanda and Kyle Summer House Wedding Drama

On season 6 of Summer House, it really looked like Amanda and Kyle might not get married, especially when Amanda threatened to “call off the wedding,” and her bridesmaid Paige cried to her about how she didn’t have to do this because Kyle didn’t “understand he was on the brink of losing” Amanda. After the wedding, Amanda and Kyle chalked up a lot of the stress to wedding planning during COVID, but their interactions on screen told a different story.

After calling Kyle 27 times in one night when he stayed out late partying, Amanda told the Bed Bugs her “biggest fear is he would get so drunk one night he would cheat on [her], and he wouldn’t even know when it happened.” Kyle and Amanda only went forward with the engagement in the first place because Kyle had signed a document that held him responsible for the cost of the wedding should it have been called off due to his actions while blackout. Yeah, not your usual prenup!

And speaking of prenups, Kyle wanted theirs to strongarm Amanda out of Loverboy ownership upon a potential divorce, even though she supported him 24/7 through building the company to appease his investors. Kyle also told Danielle that he and his wife-to-be had “nothing in common” except Loverboy, but in the end, Amanda forgave Kyle’s “mean” comments and awkward birthday speeches. Sooo, Craig getting kicked out for alleged bad behavior related to booze became the biggest gossip of the night? Win-win!

Are Amanda and Kyle moving to New Jersey?

After season 8’s big argument over where to live, Kyle and Amanda are still living in New York, not New Jersey. Amanda dreamed of settling down outside the city with chickens and her dogs, but Kyle didn’t want to feel “completely cut off from society” by being “trapped” in the burbs, even if Amanda was cool “sitting on the couch, watching TV.”

On her end, Amanda was pissed Kyle was still staying out until four in the morning. But Kyle didn’t think that lifestyle was a “reason to hate” him and flipped the situation on Amanda (his specialty) by saying he was staying out because she made their relationship “one way,” i.e., not giving him enough attention to stay home. Damn!

Kyle called Amanda a “fucking bitch”

Kyle snapped at his wife, calling her a “fucking bitch” for not sharing his obsessive dedication to Loverboy in 2023, as seen on season 8 of Summer House. Amanda expressed she was feeling invisible in Kyle’s shadow and wanted something of her own, like a swimsuit line, which sent Kyle into a rage tailspin ending in his declaration he should live in La La Land too and become a DJ. Oh, wait, a second

Kyle and Amanda on having kids: Season 9 Reunion Recap

In the ninth season of the Bravo series, Kyle and Amanda were a bit at odds (to be fair, nothing compared to previous seasons) when Amanda had a lackluster reaction to Kyle’s infertility worries. “It wouldn’t be the end of the world,” Amanda coolly responded to Kyle’s fear that they wouldn’t be able to reproduce, leaving Kyle (and the audience!) dumbfounded that they hadn’t had this conversation before.

At the time, Amanda explained she was feeling that way “because of how much [she’s] been struggling to take care of [herself] sometimes,” making her question if she’s “suited to take care of something else.” But at the April 2025 reunion, Amanda clarified that she is “ready to have kids with someone who’s ready to have kids” with her…. UHHH, that’s a massive statement?!?! When Kyle later says, “We struggle to talk about” this topic, no shit feels like the only appropriate reaction.

Amanda continued to explain that Kyle’s work is standing in the way of their family because “there will be no future if all [Kyle] does is work” between Loverboy, DJing, and travel. Amanda lists her complaints about Kyle’s time management: “We don’t spend a lot of time together, he’s working late at night, he’s working on the weekends. He’s in the office, I’ll make dinner, he comes over to eat it, then goes back to answer more emails, he’s up early in the morning to go to the gym before his work meetings.”

Amanda says she “doesn’t know” if they’ll start a new chapter unless they sell Loverboy, which Kyle is open to, but his “workaholic mode” has been going on for years with empty promises of a slowdown. “Kyle’s not ready to have kids,” Amanda stated plainly, but Kyle is working to get “ducks in a row” for their future, he says.

In the end, Kyle and Amanda agreed they def do want to have kids together (good to know), especially with Amanda’s mental health in a “great place.” Even though she knows freezing her eggs is an option, Amanda maintained she wants to start having kids “in the next few years” so she can have more than one. Amanda also threw Kyle a bone by saying Kyle is good with their dogs, but Andy points out that both sides of the couple have never seemed happier while focusing on themselves. Alrighty then!

Are Amanda and Kyle getting divorced?

Amanda also dropped the bomb at the reunion that she had “one foot out” of the relationship before things had gotten better this year. So, while they seem solid for now, leaving the relationship apparently isn’t off the table.
