I don’t know at what age people start telling girls that glitter is “too childish” or “too girlie,” but it’s time to say fuck that and bring the sparkles back. Not convinced? Well, the Taylor Swift just popped out at a Chiefs vs. Saints game (to support her boo, Travic Kelce of course) wearing a red lip and a face of glitter freckles.

I was never too into the whole drawing-on-freckles trend when it first came out, but I have always been a highlighter girlie so this is a look I can get behind. And you don’t have to wait til you’re going to your NFL-boyfriend’s game to do this look — whether you’re a Swiftie or trying to turn your brat summer into a brat fall you can get on board with the glitter agenda. And sure, we know TSwift has a mega-expensive beauty team that makes sure she look absolutely perfect before a swarm of paparazzi takes pictures of her in every angle, but that doesn’t mean you can’t recreate it all by yourself. Here’s how to bring some sparkle into your beauty routine.

How To DIY Glitter Freckles

The good thing about these glitter freckles is that you don’t have to take individual specks of glitter and try to glue them to your face. Glitter freckles are already a thing, and you can buy some of your own probably from the same play TSwift got hers. A TikTok brand called Fazit made a video claiming that Taylor was wearing their brand at the Chiefs game. And while this hasn’t been 100% confirmed, it’s a good place to start if you want to recreate the look.

Just buy yourself the glitter freckles for your face and you’ll see that they come in a patch that basically looks like a nose strip (that also goes across your cheeks). Then you just have to peel them off, stick them to your face (with or without foundation — your choice), get a wet towel so that you can rub it over the patch so that it transfers to your face (yes, like a temporary tattoo), and voila! You have a face full of glitter freckles and are probably in a much better mood.
