2025 is just not Taylor Swift or Travis Kelce’s year, it seems. Exactly a year ago, Taylor had just collected her album of the year Grammy for Midnights, and Travis had just won the Super Bowl for the second year in a row. It was giving real-life rom-com.

I’m guessing these tall lovebirds are wishing they could go back in time right about now. This February, Taylor went 0 for 6 at the Grammys, the Chiefs got fucking clobbered by the Eagles at the Super Bowl, and Taylor also got brutally booed at the game. When Taylor was shown on the Jumbotron at Caesars Superdome toward the beginning of the game, her face was met with loud-ass booing from what seemed like most of the crowd. In her defense, she was literally just sitting there, looking around and hanging out with her crew, Ice Spice, Ashley Avignone, and the Haim sisters. Why all the booing? My educated guess is: That stadium was full of toxic males who can’t stand the fact that Taylor’s been on their TV during football games. Dads, Chads, and Brads, if you will. It’s not like Taylor was doing anything wrong or annoying during the game.

Taylor was visibly confused and upset. She turned to Ice Spice, and it looks like she asked the rapper, “What’s going on?”

Serena Williams swiftly defended Taylor. “I love you @taylorswift13,” the icon wrote on X. “Don’t listen to those booos!!” (Serena was at the game, and she even made a cameo during Kendrick Lamar’s epic halftime show.)

Kelsey Anderson from The Bachelor also showed Taylor some love. She posted a TikTok video featuring the booing and her confused expression. “Y’all … people just booed Taylor Swift,” she wrote over the clip. “Please let her know I wasn’t a part of that.” Kelsey added in her caption, “TAYLOR ILY (but go birds).”

A rough night for Taylor indeed.
