Mayci Just Gave A Major Update On Her Frenemy-ship With Whitney And I'm Relieved

Although we have to wait until September 2025 for The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season 2, we’ll at least have messy podcast revelations to hold us over until then! Grab your 5,000 ounce soda and some laughing gas, ’cause Mayci Neeley is finally dishing on her extremely confusing friendship with the villainess of this show, Whitney Leavitt. For some reason, Mayci stuck by Whitney throughout season 1, even though basically all of Whitney’s actions were unjustifiable and annoying as hell. She couldn’t even manage to show up to Mayci’s Baby Mama launch party after Mayci supported her through all the MomTok drama. At Mikayla Matthews’ birthday party, Mayci called Whitney “selfish” for skipping the launch party, but they still seemed to end on a peaceful note. I, for one, was shouting at my TV: “Mayci, cut her the fuck off! Right now!” So, where do these blondies stand now? Are Mayci Neeley and Whitney Leavitt still friends? Here’s what Mayci just revealed about their friendship in a recent podcast appearance.

The Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives: Mayci And Whitney Friendship Update

Are Mayci And Whitney From Mormon Wives Still Friends?

No, they’re not, and thank goodness for that! Mayci has the patience of a saint, but I’m thrilled she’s not allowing Whitney to treat her like shit and get away with it anymore. During her September 29 interview on the Whine Down podcast with Jana Kramer, Mayci discussed the MomTok group dynamics, and revealed that while “most of are good,” there’s “one girl in our cast not too good.” Teeeaaa. I think her name rhymes with Britney. According to Mayci, she and Whitney are “cordial” with each other, but they’re far from BFFs.

“I don’t think we’re even a fraction as close as we were when we started the show. because of everything that transpired at the end and her not supporting me,” Mayci shared on the podcast. She added, “I’m not gonna be a one-sided friendship.” Exactly!! Say it louder. Still, the Baby Mama founder feels bad about Whitney getting bullied online. She noted, “It’s been really hard for her, and I totally understand where ‘s coming from with all that.” That being said, Mayci’s not buddying up to her former friend because of “certain things that she did publicly, like, posting our text online.”

In case you missed it, Whitney said “receipts, proof, timeline, screenshots” and posted screenshots of her private texts with Mayci ahead of Mayci’s launch party (the one Whitney failed to attend). Apparently, Whitney did tell Mayci that she wouldn’t be coming. I’m not sure that makes the situation that much better?? Like, this is your bestie who’s stood with you through a lot of bullshit, girlie. Mayci said that although she received those texts, Whitney “changes her mind very often,” so you never really know what to expect.

Whitney, Whitney, Whitney. I’m sure you’re already cooking up more insane antics for season 2.
