Good Luck, Babe! These Couples Are Competing Together In The Olympics

When you’re an Olympic athlete, there are probably a few characteristics you’re looking for in a partner. You probably want someone disciplined (like you), ambitious (also like you), and of course, someone who has a passion in life (definitely, like you). And what better way to find someone that’s completely compatible with you than to just find someone … just like you — aka, another Olympian. I mean, talk about a power couple right?

And for a few Olympians this year, they’ve already done just that. There are already multiple Olympic couples who are competing side-by-side (and sometimes against each other) in this year’s Summer Olympics in Paris. What better way to celebrate the City of Love than an Olympic games full of athletic AF couples?

And while you may have seen a couple or two here and there on TikTok or in the headlines, here’s a breakdown of the cutest couples competing together in the 2024 Paris Olympics. I wouldn’t even go on a run with a boyfriend, so yes, be very impressed.

Megan Rapinoe and Sue Bird

Megan and Sue are the ultimate Olympic power couple. They met at the Rio Olympics in 2016, and now they’re back at it in Paris, ready to dominate on the soccer field and basketball court. With their engagement in 2020, they’re proving that love and gold medals are a perfect match.

Lee and Gerek, the fencing dynamos from Team USA, are practically Olympic royalty. Married and fencing their way through multiple Games, they share not just medals but dreams of becoming doctors. That’s right, they’re both taking a break from med school (casual flex).

We’ve all heard of this Olympic couple and their viral moment that was more romantic than any romance movie I’ve ever seen. They met in high school literally on a track and are now two badass track & field stars with Tara being a long jump pro and Hunter, a Paralympic medalist. Tara’s going to be competing in this year’s Olympics while Hunter competes in the Paralympics at the end of August.
