After the motherquake of Demi Lovato joining the JoBros on stage for a Camp Rock medley in 2025, everyone who was essentially raised by these Disney Channel icons has one burning question: Are we finally getting a Camp Rock 3? There are three High School Musical movies, so it’d only be fair… I know I could use a check-in on Mitchie and Shane 15 years later, plus a new soundtrack of Grammy-worthy ballads, passionate duets, and empowering group numbers. We as a society are desperately in need of more Dis-knees in this moment, and Demi literally invented those! Even before the incredible Camp Rock reunion that had us all sobbing and losing our minds, rumors about a third movie were swirling around for a while. And in new interviews, Demi and Joe seemed to low-key confirm that Camp Rock 3 in the works! The people deserve answers, so here’s everything we know about the rumored Camp Rock 3 so far.

Okay, Camp Rock 3 is technically still a rumor for now, but we just got some almost confirmation from the OG stars themselves. During an August 12 appearance on Hot Ones Versus, Nick asked Joe to read his last Notes app entry out loud, and Joe read, “Read Camp Rock 3.” Nick was definitely caught off guard.
“It’s the truth,” Joe said, pointing at his phone and emphasizing, “It’s literally right here.” He looked at the camera and joked, “Sorry, Disney.”
When Demi appeared on Chicks in the Office on the same day, she was asked about fans wanting more Jonas brothers and Camp Rock-related content from her. “I think I know what you’re getting at and I”m not going to say,” Demi said with a grin. Teeaaa… That’s basically a second confirmation in my book.
Obviously, there have been more and more social media rumors about this third installment, too. “Demi Lovato is rumored to have finalized the deal to return to ‘Camp Rock 3’ alongside the Jonas Brothers,” Pop Tingz claimed in an August 10 tweet. “It is scheduled to begin filming in September.” That would be very soon, but I guess it’s possible.
Even though there’s no official, official announcement yet, I’m living for all these promising signs. Demi just re-followed Nick and Kevin Jonas on Instagram. This crew healed millions of Disney Channel kids with that sickening (complimentary) Camp Rock reunion medley, and Demi also currently has the same hair that she had in Camp Rock 2. Coincidence? Maybe, but maybe not.
Will Demi Lovato And The Jonas Brothers Appear In Camp Rock 3?
According to TMZ, “talks have been going on behind the scenes between the JoBros and Disney for a while now” regarding a third Camp Rock movie. Per their sources, Demi isn’t currently written into the script — but it seems like that could change following their internet-breaking reunion. (To be clear, I will be boycotting this movie if Demi isn’t a part of it.)
Demi and the JoBros have previously expressed that they’d be down for a Camp Rock 3. A few years back, they were all excited about the idea of doing an “R-rated” version (need that immediately). “We want to come out with an R-rated Camp Rock 3,” Demi told Ellen DeGeneres in 2017. “All of our fans have now grown up, and so anybody that watched Camp Rock is now older and can appreciate like, an American Pie version.” She noted that she’d definitely be cursing in that movie.
Joe echoed that sentiment during a 2017 Marie Claire interview. “If it made sense, sure,” he said about a third Camp Rock. “For all of us — Demi, Nick, it would be funny to do a spin on it. Do the graduating days, make it kinda dark. An adult film.”
In 2018, Kevin also teased to E!, “Never say never. We talked about it for a minute, doing something ridiculous like an R-rated version now in our life, like a going back to camp kind of thing.”
