Everything To Know About Brigette Pheloung, The Woman Behind Acquired Style

It’s time to talk about Brigette Pheloung. Some may say the popular influencer is boring, but others would point out she’s just an acquired taste. Well, acquired style, actually, per her handle @AcquiredStyle on TikTok and Instagram. Need a minute to catch up? Don’t worry, I got you.

Brigette runs the TikTok account Acquired Style and has amassed over 1.5 million followers on the platform. But not everyone is a fan. At the beginning of March, a TikToker named Bridget (@MartiniFeeny) got online to talk about how “boring” she finds NYC influencers. And the NYC influencers — specifically Brigette — seemingly took it pretty personally.

In a now-deleted TikTok, Brigette (who is based in New York) did a duet with Bridget’s video. While Bridget critiques the boring type of influencers who are usually pretty and skinny, Brigette does an over-the-top jump for joy, clearly sarcastic. Since then, she’s returned to her regularly scheduled programming, aka get-ready-with-me videos, strawberry latte tutorials, day-in-the-life voiceovers, etc… Some may call it boring, others may call it pretty lifestyle content worth a ton in brand deals.

But there’s a lot more to Brigette than what you see in her TikTok grid. Here’s everything to know about Brigette Pheloung, the woman behind Acquired Style.

Brigette Pheloung Age

Brigette recently posted on TikTok that she turned 28 in March 2025, even though she still feels 23 (don’t we all). But at least she’s not alone. She has a twin sister named Danielle who also posts on TikTok. They’re close… like, sharing underwear levels of close. That’s right, they apparently only have one bra between the two of them. Maybe someone needs to hook them up with an underwear company brand deal so they can each add to their wardrobe.

While TikTok is Brigette’s main platform, she also has over 800,000 followers on Instagram. She reposts a lot of her videos from TikTok, but also some photos from her travels and lots of story highlights, obviously including her favorite products.

Brigette Pheloung Controversies

In addition to the “boring influencer” debate and underwear-sharing with her sister, Brigette has stirred up some controversy for some of her other posts, as well. In 2024, she went viral for wearing a $9,000 sweater dress to her family Thanksgiving dinner. “This outfit is giving Barbie on the top of the cake — meets Christian girl fall,” she proudly said at the time, despite some comments that were not quite so appreciative. “Hey so I have a blanket that looks just like this from Target,” one person wrote.

But, Brigette is never one to let the haters get her down, and she followed up her Thanksgiving look with an equally extravagant one for Christmas.
