I think the big controversy wave Rachel Zegler was riding for the first half of 2025 has finally subsided. ICYMI, Rachel got more headlines at the start of this year for all the reported feuds she was having with the cast and crew of Snow White than she did for actually starring in the movie. But it looks like all that is finally in the rearview (magic) mirror for Rachel and she’s moved on.
Now Rachel is starring in the musical Evita on the West End in London, and, by all accounts, absolutely tearing the house down each night. And not only is she getting rave reviews out of the gig, but she also seems to have gotten a new boyfriend out of it, too.
According to any anonymous source who spoke to PEOPLE, Rachel and her new boyf Nathan Louis-Fernand “met during rehearsals for the West End production of Evita” in early May, “and started dating early summer.” The source also said they “had an instant connection.” It sounds a lot like the romances currently happening at every theatre camp around the country, and I love it.
Rachel and Nathan went public on July 6 at a Sabrina Carpenter concert in Hyde Park, London, looking pretty snuggly in the crowd. On top of that, Rachel gave the relationship a hard launch on Instagram on July 8 with a few very couple-y photos with Nathan in a photo carousel.
Let’s take a look behind the curtain of this showmance with everything we know about Rachel Zegler’s boyfriend Nathan Louis-Fernand.

How did Rachel Zegler and Nathan Louis-Fernand meet?
Rachel plays ~the~ titular role in Evita, while Nathan is a swing ensemble member, which means he plays multiple roles within the show. A source told People, “She brings a very energetic and passionate energy to the production. Nathan’s attracted to this.” That’s some real High School Musical-style romance.
What is Nathan Louis-Fernand’s job?
Nathan is a dancer in the ensemble of Evita, and he has quite the resume leading up to this gig. Before Evita, he also danced in a bunch of musicals, including Hamilton, & Juliet, and the classic show Magic Mike Live.
He’s also danced in a lot of music videos for artists like Diplo, Jesy Nelson, and Swedish House Mafia. And, in perhaps his most impressive accomplishment, Nathan also danced in the cinematic masterpiece Wonka, alongside Timothée Chalamet himself.
According to Nathan’s Evita cast bio, he’s also choreographed some work himself, so maybe we’ll see him behind the scenes even more in the future. No matter what, I’ll be keeping an eye out for some cast party gossip about Rachel and Nathan; as true theatre kids at the start of their romance, I know they’ll provide it.
