While most of our NYE plans end up being a lot more chill than Gossip Girl prepared us for (I literally didn’t leave the couch last year), there’s still something exciting about getting dressed up to ring in the New Year. If you want to look comfortable, cool, and festive (but not so festive that you end up with a full-body sequin rash) going into 2024, a one-to-one ratio of shiny and soft elements in your New Year’s Eve outfit is a fool-proof formula. A.K.A. girl math, but make it fashion.

For example, pairing metallic bottoms with a cozy long-sleeved top is a no-brainer (and TBH, I’ve been wearing this look since Beyoncé asked everyone to wear silver). But, in case you need a little help figuring it out, I put together some ~festive~ options for you to choose from. Here’s to hoping no one finds glitter in random places until August!!!
