It isn’t often in today’s partisan politics that we see a politician truly standing up for what’s right, taking political risks, and speaking truth to power. This year we’ve been introduced to so many inspiring figures. There’s student activist Emma Gonzalez, the brave women of the #MeToo Movement, and now there’s Minnesota State Representative Drew Christensen, who is finally standing up to one of America’s most pressing problems: Arie Luyendyk Jr.
After Arie’s fuckery was put on display for all of America in Monday’s Bachelor finale, Rep. Christensen wasted no time taking action on this pressing issue:
If this gets a thousand retweets I’ll author a bill banning Arie from Minnesota. #TheBachelor #PriorLakeLakers

As you can see, with over 8 thousand RTs, Arie can kiss [insert something they have in Minnesota] goodbye. But Rep. Christensen isn’t done there…oh no. Now that the scourge of Arie’s presence has been eliminated from Minnesotan life, there is still justice that has yet to be served. And that justice belongs to Becca K.
10,000 RTs and I’ll invite Becca to Minnesota’s State of the State Address. #TheBachelor #mnleg #PriorLakeLakers

Being the guest-of-honor and Minnesotas most prestigious VIP event? Sure, that probably makes up for having your shit wrecked on national television. It may just be a small gesture, but it is a powerful statement that will resonate across the country. It’s a message of hope. A message of caution. A message that is stamped on the hearts of this great Bachelor Nation: Do. Not. Fuck. With. The. Finale.
Over 75% of the way to inviting Becca to Minnesota’s State of the State! #TheBachelor #mnleg https://t.co/v712EJw0pZ

Once we’re done getting Becca to Minnesota, it’s time to pick up the phone and call your representatives in other states and demand they go on the record re: Arie’s Bachelor behavior. It is only through constant pressure on our elected officials that we can make sure something like Arie’s season never happens again!
