Hi ladies!

First off, I am BEYOND grateful to have you 12 beautiful girlies as part of my #IDoCrew! I feel so close to at least some of you (to my soon-to-be sister-in-law, Sarabeth, you’re just along for the ride). As David and I have been saying, we want this to be super low-key and chill — just like a party for all our friends. 😊

So in regard to the Qs about bridesmaid dresses, I just ask you to pick a dress in the same color. And if you could shoot me a pic as an FYI, that would be amazing! 😉

Can’t wait to see all your fab looks, and Jenna, weird of you to only post your bridesmaid proposal video to your stories and not the grid!

Xo,

Lauren

Hey ladies!

Thank you guys SO much for sending your… interesting bridesmaid dress options! Since some of you are clearly having a difficult time — Michelle, I am *gobsmacked* that you’d mistake Dusty Rose for Desert Rose, but okay — we’re going to use one place to make getting your dream dress easier. Obviously, I want everyone to feel comfortable and walk away with something they’ll be able to wear again and again. 😊

So anyway, Azazie.

We’re updating the color swatch to something simple like Midnight Cerulean, and you get to pick out whatever style you want! Want to keep this light and easy! Just make sure to try on at least 3-4 options, and send shots to the group chat. 💕

Xo,

Lauren

Regarding Nicole’s “Midnight Cerulean doesn’t seem like a summer color” comment, she’s officially being demoted, and Gabby will now be my third Maid of Honor.

Hi!!! It’s been a busy few weeks in the group chat, so a few helpful reminders before the rest of you order your try-on dresses:

  • Stretch chiffon only
  • No slits — we’re not back at Rutgers, Diane, I’d love it if you can keep your vag covered in front of grandma
  • One inch of cleavage minimum
  • Ankle length and floor length are TWO DIFFERENT THINGS
  • Really do some soul-searching before you decide if spaghetti straps are right for you
  • When presenting photo options, please make sure to include side, front and back angles
  • Have fun!

Hi Ladies!

So if you’ve peeked at the wedding Pinterest board recently, the rumors are true! There has been a color palette change since we last checked in! We’re actually going to do all alternating sunset hues—so summery! 😊The PDF chart of who’s-wearing-what is attached. And so help me, God, Michelle, if you mix up Dusty Rose and Desert Rose again I’m going to bash in your car windows.

Reach out with any other questions!! ❤️

Xo,

Lauren

Hi Ladies! A quick touch base — while I’m super flexible about which dress you guys pick out, it’s really important that we all look consistent. If someone goes off theme, we risk our wedding photos coming out ridiculous, and I want all of you to look as radiant as you truly are!

So no, Jessica, the cowboy boots are NOT optional. I don’t care that they’re $275. This is my rustic barnyard summer sunset cowboy princess wedding, not amateur hour. Next time, pick a cheaper med school.

Bumping because we’re getting closer to the date — please remember that the approved bridesmaid hairstyles are pin straight, bun-with-braid, and pigtails! Just don’t want to take away from the bridesmaid hats!

Thanks, ladies!

Hi girly pops,

I know there’s been some overwhelm about bridesmaids dresses, and I would like to thank Ashley for bringing this to my attention. Truly, I would, but to address secondary concerns, no, I haven’t seen her since the Bach party! I’ve been told that Miami’s finest are still on the case. Thoughts and prayers to her family, and shout out to Gabby for bringing the holographic visors! So cute!

To make this easier, I’ve just decided that we’re going to do one simple dress, and make a fun group girl’s date out of it! So block your calendar for the Saturday of Labor Day Weekend, we will be going to the David’s Bridal in Red Hook. For many of you, that should only be one bus, two subways, or barely a ferry trip. For Kaitlyn R., you can get out of San Fran for the weekend, right? Awesome.

When you get there, make sure to ask for the unicorn hair woven one-shoulder gown in — this is for you, Michelle — Dusty Rose. We will all sit in a semi-circle and vote on what alterations need to be made. Nothing crazy! The dress itself retails for $350, and it should only be like, $125 to get it hemmed, be ready to see the seamstress directly after your 20-minute review.

And then, mimosas! 🥂

Can’t wait to see all your beautiful faces there! Only 463 days until “I do!”

Xo,

Lauren
