After putting myself through that truly horrendous BFFs “tell-all” episode, I have one word: Oy. Actually, make that oy-fucking-vey. As expected, Brianna Chickenfry acted like she’s the totally innocent victim in this ongoing dramatic saga with her former bestie, Grace O’Malley. (She clearly is not.) The podcast “tell-all” came after literally seven months of drama and rumors about the former PlanBri co-hosts’ friendship. Between Grace’s recent pointed Insta statement about Bri and all the screenshots of Bri’s alleged mean DMs about Grace, the people of TikTok were getting desperate for some answers. I fear Bri just managed to make herself look even worse, and now, the internet is more Team Grace than they’ve ever been. Instead of taking even an ounce of accountability, Bri decided to be super condescending toward Grace and make several unfair accusations.
Sigh. Let’s break down Brianna Chickenfry’s awful BFFs Grace O’Malley episode.
Brianna ChickenFry BFFs Grace O’Malley Episode Breakdown
What Did Brianna Chickenfry Say About Grace O’Malley In The BFFs “Tell-All” Episode?
Bri needs you all to know that she’s a saint and she’s actually entirely responsible for Grace’s success. (It couldn’t possibly be Grace’s talent that got her more than 800k TikTok followers and a comedy career!) “She moved with me, she didn’t have a job, she didn’t have anything,” Bri claimed on the podcast. “We got her a job, it was awesome… so happy,” she said, referencing PlanBri. She also made sure to emphasize, “There was a point where she didn’t have anywhere to live, so I let her live on my couch for like a month. I gave her my living room, obviously for free.” My lord. We get it. Bri is the most generous woman alive.
As we know, Grace never liked Bri’s abusive ex, Zach Bryan, but Bri said her previous relationships were like “throuples” with Grace. According to Bri, Grace and Zach hungout maybe eight or 10 times total, but they really couldn’t even be in the same room together. “There was a time where a big blowout fight happened and I was like, okay, I’m not gonna subject my friends or anyone to have to be around this man,” Bri said, seemingly referencing the time Zach yelled at and belittled her friends at her birthday. She argued that “one bad thing happened and I never brought him around again.”
But ma’am, you continued to date him, despite the fact that he yelled at and bullied your friends. Therein lies the issue! Bri noted that she approached Grace at one point and said, “You can hate him but you can still be there for me.” But not if your boyfriend is literally bullying her!! Anyone who’s dealt with a close friend being in a toxic relationship knows that you can’t just forget about it or keep it separate from the friendship. Especially if the boyfriend is mistreating you too.
Regarding the PlanBri drama, Bri said, “They only lift Grace up when they’re beating me down.” (Bri got a lot of backlash for what people have called “victim-blaming” Grace for a sexual assault that happened to her when she was a teenager.) Bri added that Grace was “fine” with that because it helped her career. “It got to a point where she was, like, never defending me and she knew everything that was happening behind the scenes,” Bri added. Okay, but girlie, when you’re victim-blaming her for an SA, allowing your BF to treat her like shit, and prioritizing your toxic BF over her… maybe these are reasons why she wasn’t rushing to defend you.
“I ended the podcast in October because it was forum to just bully me,” Bri said. She notably did NOT bring up the cruel DMs that have been surfacing. Although Grace was invited on the podcast, she did not show up to share her side of the story.
Naturally, the people of TikTok have been reacting to this episode with horror and sharing support for Grace. One TikToker, Abbie said in a reaction video, “I don’t understand how Brianna expected Grace to get online and defend her when what she was asking her to do really was lie.” She pointed out that Bri wanted Grace to say she was a good friend, but Bri, well, wasn’t being a good friend. Yuppp. Another TikTok creator named Sarah wrote, “As someone who’s been in this situation, ur friend doesn’t have to endure the abuse just bc you did?” Mhmmm.
