The Grace O'Malley And Zach Bryan Drama Is Actually Insane

Zach Bryan is officially The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived, and I’ve never been less surprised. If you’ve been on TikTok at all the last few days, you know that he and Brianna Chickenfry split after a year of dating, and she’s now accusing him of emotional abuse. According to Bri, the country singer isolated her from her loved ones, allegedly tried to silence her with $12 million (absolutely insane), and bullied her friends. Bri’s bestie, Grace O’Malley, was allegedly one of those friends he bullied, and yeah, it sounds like Zach and Grace have never liked each other at all. We’re learning more and more about this intense conflict everyday, so let’s break down all the messy details: Here’s what we know about the Zach Bryan and Grace O’Malley drama.

Betches reached out to Zach’s team for comment on the situation and did not hear back by the time of publication.

Why Do Zach Bryan And Grace O’Malley Hate Each Other?

During Bri’s recent BFFs tell-all episode, her podcast co-host, Dave Portnoy, asked about where she and Grace stand after the Zach breakup. Bri shared, “Me and Grace will always be fine,” but noted that there was a Zach incident that “demolished” their friendship for a minute. When Zach and Bri’s friends celebrated her birthday earlier this year, Zach apparently yelled “horrible shit” at her friends (including Grace)… and there is video evidence of that.

In Dave’s “Smallest Man” Zach diss track, he accuses the singer of trying to “split up Bri and Grace.” Josh Richards, their other BFFs co-host, shed light on that lyric in a video breaking down the song. “What happened was Zach hated if anyone else had an ability to put their input to Bri on like anything,” he explained. (Yes, it also took me a second to translate the interesting grammar there.) “He didn’t want anyone in her ear. He didn’t want Dave in her ear, he didn’t want me in her ear, he didn’t want Grace in her ear, so he split up the friendship between her and Grace.” He pointed out that Zach was “screaming at Grace” at that birthday party, so “Grace and Bri ended up having turmoil because of him.” Welp, if I was Grace, Zach would also be my No. 1 opp.

After Bri accused Zach of convincing women to sign NDAs, people online speculated that Grace might’ve signed one since she’s been relatively quiet so far. But nope! Not the case! Grace is chiming in now. On TikTok, she wrote, “There is no world where I would ever let that clown shut me up. I’m just not there yet with it all.” She echoed a similar sentiment in an Instagram Story, sharing: “I wish I didn’t even have to say this but there is no world where I would EVER take money from that clown to shut me up. It’s been quite the year & I’m still not ready to talk about it (online) I’m just happy Bri is free from that piece of shit. That’s all for now.” Let’s let this poor girl be and give her space to heal!

Is Zach Bryan’s Song, “Pink Skies,” About Grace O’Malley?

This is a new level of diabolical-ness. In Dave’s second Zach diss track, “Country Diddy,” he sings: “You say you hate Grace that you’re nothing alike/ Then the song ‘Pink Skies’ is based on her life?” Bri also confirmed the rumor herself on TikTok. When someone asked in a comment how “Pink Skies” is about Grace, Bri responded, “Because I forced him to go to her grandmas funeral he screamed at me then wrote it that night.” Yiiiikes.

“The kids are in town for a funeral / So pack the car and dry your eyes,” Zach sings in the Great American Bar Scene track. “I know they got plenty of young blood left in ’em / And plenty nights under pink skies you taught ’em to enjoy.” Soo, he’s not addressing Grace directly, but it does sound like he took advantage of her very painful life event to get streams instead of just going to the funeral and supporting her like a normal, decent person. Weird. As. Fuck.
