On June 2, JoJo confirmed to The Guardian: “It’s not platonic anymore, and it’s been a beautiful development, a beautiful connection, and I’m absolutely head over heels for him and he’s the same way.” She also addressed the PR stunt allegations, claiming that she and Chris have a “very genuine connection” and they’re “not faking a thing.” Her message to all the haters? “Clearly, you’ve never been around us. I won’t ever speak for him, but for me personally, the happiness in my life just radiates off of me right now,” JoJo told the outlet. “Literally yesterday, I was massaging my cheeks; I’ve never [before] been in pain from smiling so much.” And I’ve never been in pain from cringing so much…
JoJo’s formal announcement came just one day after Chris shared a Snapchat Story of himself and Jojo lying in bed. In the photo, he’s shirtless and kissing her forehead. “Sleeepinnn beauty,” he wrote in his caption. Welp, we’ll see how long this age gap romance lasts. The news about this romance doesn’t really come as a surprise, considering there were vibes between them on Big Brother. In one episode, JoJo asked Chris if he wanted spaghetti for dinner, and he had a flirty response. “Yeah, like Lady and the Tramp?” he joked. “No,” JoJo said, “but we can have some together.” He agreed, called her his “darling,” and added, “For you, absolutely anything.” I fear it got creepier from there…
