In the year 2025, what in god’s name is Kanye Fucking West doing at the Grammys?? Who decided to invite this villain and/or let him in the building?? I would like a word. The rapper unexpectedly pulled up to the February 2 award show with his Kim K-lookalike wife, Bianca Censori, who opted for a basically naked look. (Not to ask the obvious question, but isn’t she freezing?) I think this is gonna make for a pretty awkward night considering Ye’s nemesis of 15+ years, Taylor Swift, will also be in attendance this evening — she’s presenting and up for six awards.
After the rapper’s recent major antisemitism scandal plus all his bazillion other controversies, I’m kind of shocked he’s being welcomed at music’s biggest night. (Although I guess I shouldn’t be, considering they just gave Chris Brown another Grammy. Sigh.) Sooo, why is Kanye West at the 2025 Grammys?? Let’s investigate. Kanye was there because he was nominated for best rap song for “Carnival,” his collab with Ty Dolla $ign and ¥$. Still, I did not expect to see him show up because the man’s been canceled. Ya know, because of that time he threatened to “go death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE” in October 2022? And two months later, he also said he sees “good things in Hitler,” just to really clarify where he stands. Adidas cut ties with him, but apparently, The Recording Academy doesn’t gaf.
This whole situation is especially strange, because earlier today, Kanye was only following Taylor on Instagram. (Now, it seems he’s just following Bianca.) I assumed this was just another random, creepy move to get attention, since that’s his brand these days. But there’s more! He also posted a photo of a Grammy award with the caption, “Thank you to the Grammies for nominating Carnival.” And who’s tagged? Taylor Swift, of course.
Despite rumors that Kanye and Bianca were escorted out, TMZ reported that the rapper “walked the red carpet, got in his car of his own volition and then left.” Per the outlet, there was no security or police involved, and Kanye was an invited guest because of his nomination.
I don’t like this. I don’t like this at all. I also just wanna note that he and Bianca couldn’t have put less effort into their outfits if they tried. He’s literally wearing a plain black T-shirt and black pants, and she’s wearing essentially nothing.
I hope and pray this man doesn’t make more appearances at future Grammys.
