I don’t know who or what told the Selling Sunset cast to kick it TF into high gear, but when they woke up to film for season 8 rent must have been due. The most scandalous drama this season has hit fashion killer Chelsea Lazkani square in her designer-corseted chest when Bre gleefully shared the news about Chelsea’s husband. According to a “strategic” source of Bre’s named Amanda (who is most definitely vying for her own desk in the Oppenheim Group’s office), a friend spotted Jeff Lazkani allegedly making out with another woman who was, according to Amanda’s source, very much not Chelsea. Chelsea’s initial reaction to the news was that there had been distance in her marriage, which gave real credence to the rumors ahead of her filing for divorce.
As if one marriage being ripped to shreds in front of a national audience wasn’t bad enough, ancient ghoul resident cast villain Nicole did a laughably obvious job of planting a different adultery-related seed when the crew visited Alanna Gold’s Pioneertown (JK, she doesn’t own it). Nicole maliciously yapped about an alleged rumor that Emma was in a relationship with a married man, and ever since, hell has broken loose among the Selling Sunset cast. The superior alliance, Chrishell, Chelsea and Emma, have since called out Adam Divello’s Done and Done productions for turning their side gig into a shit show. In episode 5, professional joy-sucker Nicole Young dangles an unverified rumor that her co-star Emma is in an ongoing fling with a powerful married man. Nicole says as “the wife” she would be furious if she knew what Emma was doing, before later admitting she had heard this information second-hand. Amanza and Mary’s feeble attempt to get Nicole to knock it off were not enough for Chrishell, Emma, and Chelsea who saw the rumors play out when the cast got the screeners days before season 8 dropped. Chrishell hopped on IG to blast Done and Done productions for giving “airtime” to “liars” and calling the prodco “disgusting for blindsiding [Emma] with this to see with the world instead of letting her at LEAST defend herself with the TRUTH.” Chelsea shared similar sentiments, including Bre and Mary in the fun, for their co-signing of Nicole’s “diabolical trash behavior” i.e. “spreading lies for views”. Chelsea also similarly lambasted Done and Done for their lack of “moral ground and integrity.”

In addition to an outpouring of support for Emma, Chrishell has posted on her Instagram Story that she “will NEVER work on a show with [Nicole] on it again. I would rather be sued.” So, I guess production will have to make a call on whether to keep Chrishell’s crew or the chaos Nicole brings to the show. Nicole has since responded to the drama by saying she was “#unbothered” all weekend and she “stands with marriages.” While it’s hard to buy that someone who is truly unbothered needed to make that known to the world with a hashtag from 2014, it’s easy to believe Nicole is patiently waiting for another season of screentime. Your ball, Adam Divello.
In case it’s not obvious, I think the show needs Chrishell way more, especially this new feisty Chrishell who isn’t afraid to speak her mind. Being “personally offended” by Nicole’s Oscars broker’s open fit is the type of shade that makes reality TV gold.
