Kate Middleton, aka the Princess of Wales dropped some major news with all the grace and poise we’ve come to expect from her (seriously, even cancer can’t dim this woman’s light). In case you missed it, one of the only royals we all secretly (or not-so-secretly) stan, just revealed she’s officially done with chemotherapy. Cue the collective cheer. After a whirlwind of a year battling cancer (and six months after announcing it to the world), Kate shared a video message that gave us all the feels, where she talked about what she’s been through and what’s next for her.
The video, shared by Kensington Palace, also gave us a peek into what the last few months have been like for the Wales family. The footage shows Kate, William, and their kids (future royalty) having a picnic, playing outside, and just being all-around cute. There’s even a scene where they’re all playing cards with Kate’s parents.
A message from Catherine, The Princess of Wales
As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment.

Even though she’s done with chemo, Kate says she’s not exactly in the clear yet. The princess is all about staying “cancer free” and mentioned that her road to recovery is far from over. She’s planning to ease back into public life, but she’s also taking things slow, saying, “I must continue to take each day as it comes.”
Kate might have been laying low for most of the year because of the chemo, but we’ve seen her make a few fab public appearances, like “Trooping the Colour” in June and Wimbledon in July with her mini-me, Princess Charlotte. And the Princess of Wales could join Prince William and King Charles in honoring fallen service members on Remembrance Sunday in November.
So, while she’s not back to a full royal schedule just yet, we can expect to see more of her in the coming months. And honestly? We’re just glad to see her doing better.
