Thanksgiving has already come and gone, but I gotta say, I’m feeling quite grateful today… about the fact that I can be super emotive with my facial expressions. The same cannot be said for “All About That Base” queen Meghan Trainor, who apparently went a touch overboard with Botox recently. (She’s hardly the first famous person to do so, as we know.) The singer is experiencing one especially unfortunate symptom of the injections, and unlike other Botoxed celebs, she’s totally transparent about the work she’s had done and the less-than-ideal results she got. In a new podcast episode, Meghan revealed her issue and asked her listeners for help solving it. Soo, what exactly happened to Meghan Trainor’s face? Here’s everything she’s shared about her Botox mishap so far.
What Happened To Meghan Trainor’s Face?
Meghan Trainor Botox Situation, Explained
I fear those lips are literally not “movin'” at all anymore. Meghan got super real about her Botox problem during a November 20 episode of her podcast, Workin’ On It with Meghan Trainor & Ryan Trainor. She pleaded with the fellow 30s girlies for help and advice. “I got too much Botox, and I need help,” the singer said, bluntly. “I messed up. I’ve had Botox, like, a handful of times … just my forehead.” She recently got filler in her upper lip, and she’s not thrilled with that decision now. “Someone convinced me with my little lips that if you did a lip flip, you put filler right above your upper lip, that you could have a beautiful flip on your upper lip,” Meghan said on the podcast. “And I could have one for the first time in my whole 30 years of living — it was not true.” Ya live and ya learn, I guess.
According to the pop star, she’s lost her ability to smile, which is a pretty major sacrifice. “I cannot smile anymore,” she shared, looking right at the camera and attempting to smile. Meghan said she’s learned from her beauty mistake. “You know what this did teach me?” she said. “It taught me my smile does light up a room, and when it’s not there, it’s a dim light.” She feels like she’s “not happy” because she can’t physically show that emotion.
The moral of the story? “Don’t try everything,” Meghan warned listeners. Personally, I have no experience with Botox, but my professional advice is probably… Someone get Lindsay Lohan and Christina Aguilera’s surgeon on this case, stat.
