Tyler, Tyler, Tyler. You were supposed to be the hero of Love is Blind season 7, my guy! Frankly, the Ashley Tyler relationship has been super boring to watch so far because they had an immediate and strong connection, and seemed 100 percent confident about getting married on the show. There hasn’t been too much thrilling banter or enticing drama with this couple until now, which is why their scenes are usually my time to check Instagram and TikTok. But silly us — we forgot that this is Love is Blind, and the casting folks are always on a mission to seek out the most diabolical male villains of every city they visit. D.C. is no exception!! We have Leo two-timing and yapping about his Rolex, Stephen calling a woman a “mutt,” and Tyler having three kids and keeping them a secret until AFTER HE GOT ENGAGED. Yuppp. Ashley previously said on the show that no one could change her mind about him, but I fear she wasn’t aware of this info yet. The rumors are true! After all the chatter online about Tyler appearing to secretly have kids, he confirmed the wild revelation himself in a new Love is Blind episode. Tyler said that he was a sperm donor for a couple that he “knows” and has three biological children, two girls and a boy. Sadly, we didn’t get to see Ashley finding out about this — we just saw them discussing it afterward.
“I feel like we had such great communication and I don’t understand how two weeks before our wedding you drop this kind of bomb,” Ashley said to him. Two weeks before the wedding is truly insane. She also explained that this was “something [she] should have known before agreeing to say yes.” Yup, I’d say so!! Mind you, Tyler had literally been talking about having kids with her and never thought to bring up the fact that he’s already fathered three.
Ashley very generously told Tyler, “I’m not upset by you trying to help a couple have kids. I think that’s admirable in certain ways, but the issue comes in with me feeling like I was not getting the full picture of you.” This is way too nice a response. She did note that it’s “hard not to question everything” and this is “a lot to absorb.” Sooo, did Tyler and Ashley get past this and get married? TBD. At the end of the new batch of episodes, it’s unclear where they stand. The suspense is actually killing me. Please dump his ass, Ashley. I beg you.
We already kind of knew about Tyler’s kids because on October 7, a woman named Lovetta Thomas shared receipts proof timeline screenshots and posted a video montage of him with little children who resemble him. In one picture, a little kid posing with the LIB star is wearing an adorable “Dad’s No. 1 Draft Pick” shirt. At the end of the video, we see Tyler carrying pumpkins and walking around with a woman and three children. In her cheeky caption, Lovetta wrote, “Love is Blind Season 7…. Tyler” and added the hashtags “#loveisblindseason7tyler,” “#whothrowstheirkidsawayforashow,” “#theylovetheirdaddy,” and “#deadbeatdad.” She’s out for blood, and I respect it.
Lovetta’s also spreading the word about Tyler on Facebook ’cause she’s a thorough gal. On the same day, she shared a series of screenshots from Tyler’s own account, featuring photos of him and his kids. In one post, he shared photos of a baby boy and wrote, “My greatest blessing of 2017. You are destined for great things young king.” And in another, he captioned a photo of a kid laying on top of him, “My best friend.” I feel like “sperm donor” doesn’t tell the whole story… “Do Y’all know who this is???” Lovetta wrote in her Facebook caption. “Or where he is, cuz his 3 kids been looking for him!!!” Oy. It appears Tyler deleted all photos of the kids ahead of this season of LIB, because of course.

The “sperm donor” story is extremely fishy, given the legal info about Tyler’s family — his biological kids literally shared his last name until recently. After his Love is Blind adventure, his baby momma, Bri Thomas, filed a petition to legally change their twin daughters’ last names from Francis to Thomas on February 6, per court records obtained by Life & Style. She was successful, and the name changes were granted on March 19.
Not to mention, Bri filed a complaint for petition for custody in Baltimore City Circuit Court in October 2021, according to the outlet. The case was initially settled on May 6, 2022, but a petition was filed to reopen the case last January, about three months after filming for season 7 concluded. Interesting timing! The next disposition hearing is set for November 15. This situation combined with Lovetta’s accusations and all of Tyler’s old (erased) posts about the kids does not look great for him.
Was Tyler Cheating On Ashley During Love Is Blind Filming?
I fear there’s more Tyler drama. A TikTok creator claims that he was messaging another woman while he was sharing an apartment with Ashley during the LIB filming. According to a screenshot, Tyler messaged this woman at 2:30am asking if he could come over because he “really needed someone.” Mind you, this is all just social media rumors and speculation, but… I do not trust the guy. That’s for sure.
