I think Tyler Francis was hoping that love is blind and also blissfully ignorant. He really is the classic LIB villain: a freakishly talented liar living a double life. It’s not like all the male cast members were gonna be normal — that would be crazy! As I’m sure you’re aware at this point, Tyler has three biological children, and he neglected to share that crucial bit of info on his Love is Blind application or to Ashley Adionser before he got ENGAGED to her on the show. Rumors about his kids first started swirling when a woman named Lovetta Thomas posted an Insta video montage featuring photos of Tyler and his kids. A lot of the montage is actually Tyler’s own posts about his kids, which have since been deleted. The next day, we got the new batch of LIB season 7 episodes and discovered that Tyler finally told Ashley about his kids. He claims to just be a “sperm donor,” but Lovetta accused him of being a “#deadbeatdad” and questioned “#whothrowstheirkidsawayforashow,” sooo it’s suspicious. Plus, the old photos of Tyler and his children tell a different story, and there’s apparently an ongoing custody case. I mean, I suspect… I hope Ashley is one of them. I know she’s super nice and patient, but there’s no way she can let this whole secret kids situation fly. That being said, we won’t know where their relationship stands until the next episodes come out. Since Tyler claims to just be a sperm donor for his baby mama, it’s unclear what kind of relationship they have or had. Unfortunately, there’s not much public information about Tyler’s past dating life, but he did warn Ashley on the show: “Just prepare [for] people [to] be like, ‘He is not that nice.'” Girl, you should’ve ran after that one.

Tyler’s baby mama is a woman named Bri Thomas. Using my investigative journalism skills, I tracked her down on Insta by searching her name in Lovetta’s following list. Bri has a private account, but she has a bit over 2,000 followers and her Insta bio reveals that she’s a “Mother 1st” and played basketball at Louisiana Tech University. Of course, I then found LA Tech’s athletics website and learned some more info about Bri. There’s a January 2010 article on the site called “Getting to Know Brietta Thomas” that includes a bunch of fun facts about Tyler’s baby mama. She’s apparently a big fan of cornbread dressing, SpongeBob, Angelina Jolie, and the Michael Jordan quote, “Always turn a negative situation in a positive one.”

Tyler Love Is Blind Custody Case

Per court records obtained by Life & Style, Bri actually filed a complaint for petition for custody in Baltimore City Circuit Court in October 2021. Although the case was settled in May 2022, it was notably reopened in January, a few months after Tyler finished filming Love is Blind. Now, the case is ongoing, and there will be a disposition hearing on November 15. But that’s not all! Tyler’s biological daughters previously shared his last name, Francis, but Bri successfully petitioned to change their last name to Thomas last February. Tyler, I hope you’re paying for Ashley’s therapy.
