Stevie Nicks Just Spilled Major Tea About Katy Perry, Chappell Roan, And Taylor Swift

Stevie Nicks is officially in her unfiltered yapping era, and I sincerely hope she never leaves it. When the 76-year-old Fleetwood Mac legend sat down with Rolling Stone for a four-hour interview, she did not hold back even a little bit. We got the tea on a hilarious Katy Perry interaction she had a decade ago, her fairly recent Lindsey Buckingham encounter, her strong opinions on Tayvis (Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce) and Chappell Roan, and whether or not she’s endorsing Kamala Harris. Keeping! Us! Fed! All celebs should be following Stevie’s example. You may wanna sit down for this: Here are the wildest revelations from Stevie Nicks’ Rolling Stone interview.

Stevie Nicks On Katy Perry, Lindsey Buckingham, Chappell Roan, Taylor Swift, And Kamala Harris

What Happened Between Stevie Nicks And Katy Perry?

When the topic of the internet and social media came up, Stevie absolutely roasted Katy out of the blue. “I hate it,” she said about the internet. “About 10 years ago, Katy Perry was talking to me about the internet armies of all the girl singers, and how cruel and rancid they were. I said, ‘Well, I wouldn’t know because I’m not on the internet.'” Fucking queen behavior. I’m dying because isn’t Katy the one singing “It’s a woman’s world and you’re lucky to be living in it” these days? According to Stevie, Katy asked her at the time, “So, who are your rivals?” What an insane question to ask Stevie Nicks.

“I just looked at her,” Stevie recalled. “It was my steely look. I said, “Katy, I don’t have rivals. I have friends. All the other women singers that I know are friends. Nobody’s competing. Get off the internet and you won’t have rivals either.” I would’ve fled the country and gone into hiding after that if I was Katy.

Stevie On Her Last Encounter With Lindsey Buckingham

Stevie also got real about cutting ties with her ex and former bandmate, Lindsey, and recalled the last time she interacted with him. “[The split] happened one night, not planned, at a MusiCares [benefit concert],” the singer revealed. “That’s when he wasn’t very nice to anybody; he wasn’t very nice to Harry Styles.” Immediate dealbreaker. She continued, “I could hear my mom saying, ‘Are you really going to spend the next 15 years of your life with this man?’ I could hear my very pragmatic father — and by the way, my mom and dad liked Lindsey a lot — saying, ‘It’s time for you guys to get a divorce.'” And in that moment, she knew she was done.

The exes last saw each other in January 2023 at the celebration of life for their late bandmate, Christine McVie. “The only time I’ve spoken to Lindsey was there, for about three minutes,” Stevie told Rolling Stone. “I dealt with Lindsey for as long as I could. You could not say that I did not give him more than 300 million chances.”

Stevie Nicks’ Opinion On Chappell Roan

Stevie’s like the rest of us: Team Chappell all the way. She took a look at the “Hot to Go” singer’s schedule and thought it was “outrageous.” Stevie emphasized, “It’s as bad as any schedule we ever did, and she’s new, and she’s young. I said, ‘They’ll burn her out if that’s what they want to do, because there’s always somebody to replace you.'” She approves Chappell’s recent decision to cancel her All Things Go performances amid a rough mental health period. ” It’s good that Chappell just said, ‘Well, go ahead, replace me. I’m canceling because I’m not going to drop dead for all you people,'” Stevie told the magazine.

Stevie Nicks’ Thoughts On Taylor Swift And Travis Kelce

Apparently, Stevie’s a Tayvis stan and belongs on SwiftTok. She called Taylor “really smart” and pointed to a friendship bracelet the pop icon gifted her. “She’s in a good place right now,” Stevie said. “I think she has a good man. I hope they fall deeper and deeper in love and ride off into the sunset. He does his thing and she does her thing, and then they come back together and get married and have babies if she wants that.” She’s really given this some thought and I love that for her.

Will Stevie Nicks Endorse Kamala Harris?

Basically, yes. Stevie said she doesn’t like the word “endorsing,” but she likes “the fact that she is our great hope to save the world.” She gushed about the VP to Rolling Stone: I love the fact that she laughs. I love the fact that she’s full of joy. I love the fact that she fell in love with somebody later in her life, and has a family and that they call her ‘Momala.’ I love that. I have great respect for her.” When asked if she’d perform at Harris’ inauguration, Stevie said she might! Praying with everything I have that Harris wins the election and Stevie sings at the inauguration.
