You’ve heard of Emily in Paris; well, get ready, because now it looks like it might be time for Shailene in Paris. Shailene Woodley and Emily in Paris star Lucas Bravo were spotted looking pretty cozy in the City of Lights, so we might be seeing a lot more of Shailene in her Parisian era. PEOPLE released the first photos of Shailene and Lucas snuggled up together on March 23. They “were photographed holding hands, sharing a hug and draping their arms around one another, smiling as they walked along a street in the French capital.” It truly sounds like a dreamy way to spend a day, and straight out of an episode of Emily in Paris. Kudos to Shailene for making the French fantasy a reality.
Before Lucas, Shailene was engaged to NFL star Aaron Rodgers. They got engaged in 2021, but broke things off in 2022, and Shailene reportedly had a rough go of it in the aftermath. In an interview with Outside, she talked about her break-up without explicitly talking about it, referring to a “traumatic event” she went through. “I felt like I lost my soul, my self, my happiness, my joy,” she said. “I really understood depression and anxiety and, like, complete soul detachment.”

Shailene and Lucas were spotted together in Paris on March 23. But Shailene was seen dating other people not that long ago, so it seems like her romance with Lucas is relatively new. In August 2024, Shailene was seen at the famous White Horse Tavern in New York City with a mystery man. An anonymous source told Page Six, “They were in great spirits and seemed to have a flirtation.”
But that fling must have fizzled out to make way for Shailene and Lucas’ Parisian rendezvous. We don’t have much info about the new relationship beyond the photos the paparazzi snagged, but the duo was all smiles in those pics, so things are looking good for them.
In a 2020 interview with Glamour, Lucas talked about some of his green and red flags in a relationship. The good stuff? “Kisses on the neck and all that kind of stuff.” And his dealbreakers are a little more serious. “I don’t like when there is an elephant in the room and the person chooses to just run away or slam the door or sit in a corner with their baby face on,” he said. “I don’t like pouting or when someone avoids a conversation.”
Hopefully there are way more kisses than pouts in Shailene and Lucas’ future.
