I’m still waiting on my invitation to Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s wedding… I’m sure it’s coming any day now. As a Selenator of more than 15 years, I’m thrilled that my queen is happy and madly in love, and I hope she has the most magical wedding imaginable. The former Disney star and the pop producer have been linked since mid-2023 and engaged since December 2024. (They celebrated the milestone with a Taco Bell picnic, naturally.) Selena and Benny wrote and released a whole album about their relationship journey titled I Said I Love You First, but so far, they’ve kept their wedding plans mostly under wraps. During a March 2025 chat with Rolling Stone, Benny joked, “I think every day [Selena’s] planned a new wedding in her head. We’re very much ‘take it one day at a time’-type of people.” At the time, Selena told the magazine that their album was her “main focus.”

On July 14, an insider told the Daily Mail that Selena and Benny are getting married in “a matter of weeks” in California. “Selena and Benny’s wedding is going to be a two-day event in Montecito in September,” they claimed. “Everyone invited has been asked to bring overnight bags to stay for the weekend.”

The same insider said that it will be a small wedding, but some celebs will definitely be making an appearance. “Although it’s for friends and family only, many on the friends list are huge celebrities, including Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, Selena’s co-stars from Only Murders In The Building, and music superstars who are Benny’s friends and some he’s also worked with,” they added. Taylor has already volunteered to be the flower girl! (Realistically, she’s gonna be a bridesmaid, maybe even the maid of honor.)
Another source emphasized that Selena really wants Taylor to be there. They noted, “Selena is not having her wedding to accommodate Taylor, but she wants her to attend, and she would love for her to be able to go with Travis.” Fortunately, the “Love Story” singer is in a rare not-busy period right now — she hasn’t released a new album in over a year, she’s not on tour, and she has no need to record Taylor’s Versions anymore, since she got her masters back. And I’m sure she’s making Selena’s wedding a priority.
These location, date, and guest list details are all from anonymous sources, so none of it’s confirmed, of course. But a small Montecito wedding does really sound like Selena and Benny. I love this for them if it’s true.
During a recent appearance on Jake Shane’s podcast, Therapuss, Benny claimed that he and Selena haven’t done much wedding planning. “We both need to chill,” he said. “We’ve both been working so much.” The producer explained that right after they got engaged, they were filming music videos for their album, and then it was the holidays.
“I think it will be chill,” he said about their wedding. Hmmm. We’ll have to wait and see if this September Montecito celebration is their actual plan.
