Spoilers ahead for Love is Blind Season 9, duh.
We’re trying to slam the door shut on one of the most chaotic seasons of Love Is Blind, but the cast keeps prying it back open with podcast interviews and shady AF Instagram posts. This week’s culprit? Joe Ferrucci, aka the man who physically cannot hold his liquor.
I will say: while I would NEVER date this man (and feel immense relief that sweet Madison escaped his clutches), he is fantastic television. Joe ranting about Nick like he’d just been dumped by him? TV gold. Sprinting out to his truck while production blasted “Manchild”? Give the editors an Emmy right fucking now.
Anyway, Joe is back, or rather, his current girlfriend is. Yup, this man found another victim. She popped onto the Reality Receipts podcast to spill steaming hot tea, including Joe’s bold attempt to slide into a different woman’s pod. Buckle up, folks. Drama’s not done yet.

Who is Joe’s current girlfriend?
I’m struggling to type this with a straight face, but Joe’s current girlfriend is Denver-based dating coach Averee Madison. Yep. This manchild is dating a dating coach. Okay!
By day, she works full-time in family law. On the side, she coaches men on dating — and hopes to make it her full-time job soon. Because apparently Joe Ferrucci is the internship from hell. Outside of those two careers, Averee also founded a Denver women’s club called The Group Chat.
According to Averee, she and Joe met at a mutual friend’s birthday party over a year ago, but didn’t start dating until November 2024. She wasn’t on the show, but she has been friends with Pod Squad alum Kait Nemunaitis for years.
She claims Joe has done a lot of maturing and is far less “controversial” today. I, too, am wondering whether she’s watched the episodes.
Averee also revealed she was invited to the Love Is Blind reunion, but chose to stay home. She did tease that the cast spills who’s together now, who dated other cast members, and that there’s a major reveal coming. We’ll be seated.
What happened with Joe and Kacie?
Now this is the tea we care about. Viewers will remember Kacie McIntosh got engaged to Patrick Suzuki in the pods, but after the reveal, she decided she wanted to go home. She reassured him they’d keep dating, but… everything since has made that promise look like a comedy bit. Because yes, Kacie apparently turned her attention elsewhere — including Joe.
According to Joe’s current girlfriend, Averee, she is “not a Kacie fan.” She shared that she and Joe once ran into Kacie. “So when Joe and I started talking, I think it was our first date, we were at a bar. He just like, ran into this girl, and he’s like, ‘Oh, you know I’ve gone on a couple dates with that girl,’” Averee said.
But wait — there’s more. Averee then claimed, “Joe getting a girlfriend did not stop [Kacie] from continuously trying [to hook up with him.]” Allegedly, Kacie was sliding into Joe’s messages every couple of weekends. And Averee did not hold back on Reality Receipts: “You’re in his DMs, I’m in bed with him. Like, come on, that’s embarrassing.”
This gets even messier when you remember Madison Maidenberg and Joe’s breakup, as she specifically asked him if there was anyone else after he’d just been out with the pod squad… which includes Kacie.
On the Love To See It podcast, Madison confirmed that they ran into Kacie the night before their split: “I look over and Kacie has two hands on Joe’s chest,” Madison said, adding that Joe told her Kacie was giving him “googly eyes.”
Kacie is apparently now on the outs with the pod squad. As Averee put it: “I think she’s burned a lot of bridges in our friend group, obviously what we saw on TV translates to real life,” Averee said. “I personally choose to surround myself with women who lift each other up and follow girl code, that will never be Kacie.”
Also… is it just me, or if you slap a blonde wig on Averee, would she basically be Kacie’s twin?
What did Averee say about Madison?
Speaking of our queen Maddie, Joe’s girlfriend has some thoughts. Averee admitted she’d met Madison before meeting Joe, since Madison is close with Kait as well. In her opinion, the split comes down to the simple fact that Madison “was not his person.” I won’t comment on that… but you know.
Averee played the girl’s girl, saying of Madison, “She’s never been nothing but pleasant with me.” However, regarding Madison’s interviews about Joe, Averee made it clear the “Joe slander” is getting boring. (For the record: we are not bored.)
She also noted that while she and Madison aren’t exactly friends—they’re “cordial”—they do share a common enemy: Kacie.
“My heart goes out to her because I’m like, ‘This woman is now trying to mess with both of us in different ways and different experiences,’” Averee said. “So if there’s one thing that we can agree on, it’s Kacie is not a good person.”
Can’t wait to see how this all explodes at the reunion!! Kacie, Madison, and Joe are all confirmed to be attending!!
