Everything We Know About Season Two Of ‘KAOS,’ Our Favorite Greek Mythology Show

I have been cursed by the Greek gods never to stop yapping about KAOS, my newest Netflix obsession. For real, it’s becoming a problem. I can’t stop recommending this hot Greek mythology show to people. I was already a big Percy Jackson fan, so this sexy, modern retake of the Greek gods is literally blowing my mind. But even if you’re not a fan of the myths, you’re guaranteed to love this dark comedy about power, paranoia, inequality, and rebirth. The eight-part series follows Zeus, the king of the gods, attempting to stop a prophecy that predicts his downfall, and ensuring it in the meantime. But now that we’ve watched those eight episodes (more than once), the people need to know: Can we expect another season of KAOS???? And by people, I mean ME.

Will there be a season two of KAOS?

At this point in time, Netflix has not confirmed whether our hot Greek gods and mortals will return for a season two. But don’t panic just yet, as things are looking promising. It debuted in the Top 10 of the streaming giant’s most-watched shows list and was only surpassed by non-scripted shows. There’s been a big buzz around the show, and it’s making its rounds on social media, which means that the big guns at Netflix will see it as potentially profitable.

A prophecy for season two would go as follows:

Netflix renews, season two next year, Caenus is shirtless, this writer is happy

What has the cast and crew said about season two?

While Netflix drags its boots in the mud (GIVE US ANSWERS), the cast and creators of the show are a lot more mouthy on the subject. Charlie Covell, the show’s creator who also gifted us The End of the F***ing World, revealed to Cosmopolitan UK that they originally planned the series to be a three-parter.

“I didn’t want to do an ending that was a total cliffhanger,” they said of the season one ending. “I hope that it feels satisfying as a season one in its own right, and there’s always hope for the more. Because I really would love to do more and work with those actors and that team. It was a bit of a dream come true.”

“My dream was three seasons. I’ve got many ideas and a strong sense of what I’d want to do with it,” they continued, before specifying that while Netflix hasn’t greenlit more episode, they’ve been “very supportive.”

Jeff Goldblum, who plays hot Zaddy Zeus, explained to Variety that he has hopes for another season and said, “I already am wildly curious. I said to Charlie, ‘What happens?’ And Charlie’s got many things in mind. So it’s fertile ground.”

The rest of the cast seem equally keen (why wouldn’t they be?), with Misia Butler, who plays Caneus, telling Cosmopolitan UK, “I want to go dark. There’s something in me. You’ve got Leila [who plays Ari] on one hand, the collected president. And you’ve got the other form of anarchy in Billie Piper [as Cassandra.] Riddy could go either way.” Caenus already had me sweating in season one, so a DARK CAENUS in season two? I’m going to need an ice bucket.

What could happen in KAOS season two?

So, aside from Minos and Paucus/the Minotaur, who got murdered at the end of season one, we can likely expect the whole cast to return. Additionally, we might get to see some more gods and goddesses!!!

At the end of season one, Hera makes a mysterious call to one of her godly children. “Darling, it’s Mummy,” she says, “gather the troops and make up a spare bed.” I’ve got my money oN this being Ares, the god of war, as he’d be most likely to “gather the troops.” It’s likely that season two will heavily involve whoever the recipient of this phone call was.

Additionally, we could see more of Hera and Zeus’ godly children, perhaps as they take a side in the conflict to come. Early in season one, Zeus was seen calling his various children, including Ares, Apollo, Aphrodite, Artemis, and Hermes. This leaves them all as various characters to appear in the two coming seasons — I’M MANIFESTING.

Ari will be stepping up as the Queen of Krete and changing things with the Trojans — the people, not the condom brand. This might lead to some civil unrest with the Kretians, who have enjoyed their superiority until now, or a religious divide when Ari turns away from the gods. Dionysus is on his way to woo the new love of his life, and it’ll be interesting to see whether he helps her with her anti-Olympus agenda, or manages to get her attention at all. Until now, Ari was lusting after her bodyguard, Theseus (very myth, very demure). Dionysus also has a bottle of Meander water, so we might see him trying to make Ari immortal, which she could reject.

Riddy is back from the dead and separated from Orpheus (I’m officially a child of divorce now). She’s also headed to find Ari and share her learnings from the Underworld. Will she be reunited with her mother, one of Hera’s tongueless priestesses who has been helping the prophecy happen? Will she be reunited with Caenus, who she left in the Underworld? On that note, Caenus seems to be the only one able to wake the dead, which has left him as a valuable tool for Hades.

Season two will also witness a power struggle between Zeus and Prometheus, who was last spotted sitting on the throne. Will Zeus get his godly powers back? Will Prom bring more titans to help him rule? And who the fuck is the “Kaos” that will reign???

So many questions, so little attention span for anything else: Netflix, I’m begging you, put me out of my misery here! And get me on the writing team; I love Greek myths and have too many opinions!!!
