Taylor Swift’s entering her TS12 era and her podcast era, but is she also entering her Super Bowl era?? After the “Karma” singer made a two-hour appearance on her BF Travis Kelce’s podcast, New Heights, Swiftie detectives are (of course) on the job, attempting to uncover every possible easter egg in that conversation. Some fans are now convinced that Taylor was sneakily hinting at a Super Bowl performance throughout the pod. Are they delusional? It’s very possible, but I hope not. Personally, I’m totally in favor of a TS Super Bowl, as long as there are plenty of 1989 and Reputation tracks, and Kendrick Lamar and Sabrina Carpenter guest appearances! (“Bad Blood” with Kendrick at the Super Bowl would eat, and Sabrina’s featured on an unreleased track in TS12.)
Considering she’s the most famous pop star in the world and finished a record-breaking stadium tour last year, Taylor’s a pretty obvious pick for the job. And the timing is just right now: She owns her music, she’ll have new music to promote, and she’s an enthusiastic member of the football community these days. So, will Taylor Swift perform at the 2026 Super Bowl? Time to unpack these potential easter eggs.
Will Taylor Swift Perform At The 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show? Hints, Easter Eggs
Why Fans Think Taylor Swift Will Perform At The 2026 Super Bowl

To be clear, the Super Bowl 2026 halftime show performer has not been announced yet — they’re usually announced in early fall. So, this is all speculation for now.
In 2022, TMZ reported that Taylor turned down the Super Bowl because at the time, she didn’t want to do it until she finished rerecording all of her first six albums and owned her music. Doing the Super Bowl next year could be an amazing way to celebrate owning all her masters now! She and Travis also teased infectious pop “bangers” on TS12, which sounds perfect for a giant stadium.
Swifties have been particularly focused on this quote from Taylor’s New Heights appearance: “Right now we’re deep in a sourdough obsession that has taken over my life … I’m really talking about bread 60 percent of the time now.” Was she just casually chatting about a hobby? Or was she sending us a secret message? People are pointing out that Sourdough Sam is the mascot for the San Francisco 49ers, and that’s the team whose Levi’s Stadium home is the site of the 2026 Super Bowl. Not to mention, this will be the 60th Super Bowl. 60 percent of the time, 60th Super Bowl…
The Taylor detectives also noticed that she mentioned the number 47 a few different times. “Thank you for screaming for like 47 seconds for me, that was so nice!” she said to Jason Kelce after he introduced her. When he asked her how many countries she’d visited during the Eras Tour, Taylor joked, “47,000.” Why does 47 matter? Well, her 47th Eras Tour show was apparently at Levi’s Stadium, where the Super Bowl will be.
Taylor’s probably also excited about the year 2026 because 26 is 13×2. A TS Super Bowl is really just meant to happen next year. I don’t make the rules.
Stay tuned for the halftime show performer announcement!
