Celebrities Who Have Lost Their Homes In The Los Angeles Fires And Ways To Help LA Recover

It continues to be a devastating week for Southern California as a fast-moving series of wildfires forces residents to evacuate and destroys their homes and communities. The first fire began in the Pacific Palisades on January 7 due to extreme wind and dry conditions, and now, there are five major fires that remain mostly uncontained. During this unspeakably difficult time, it’s important that we all share resources and support those affected however we can — here’s a comprehensive list of resources compiled by Mutual Aid Los Angeles.

As the flames engulf more and more neighborhoods in Los Angeles, many celebrities have been personally affected. Here are all the celebrities who have tragically lost their homes to the Los Angeles fires.

Adam and Leighton’s Palisades home, which they shared with their two children, has burned down, per photos. The actors haven’t yet commented on their loss.

Paris took to Instagram to share a video of the remains of her Malibu home. “Sitting with my family, watching the news, and seeing our home in Malibu burn to the ground on live TV is something no one should ever have to experience,” she wrote. “This home was where we built so many precious memories. … It’s where Phoenix took his first steps and where we dreamed of building a lifetime of memories with London. … While the loss is overwhelming, I’m holding onto gratitude that my family is safe. My heart and prayers are going out to every family affected by these fires.”

Spencer and Heidi documented the loss of their home in emotional TikToks. Spencer shared a horrifying video of their home burning and wrote, “Nightmare come true.” In her own video, Heidi thanked followers for their support and said, “Thank God we are safe. It’s just… no words.”

Spencer later shared an Instagram photo of the remains of his son’s room. “The one positive sign i saw as our house burned down was our son’s bed burned in the shape of a heart,” he wrote in his caption. “A sign of how much love was in this house so thankful for all the years and memories there with our family.”

The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that Anna lost her home in the Palisades fire. “Anna and her family are safe and grateful,” the actress’ rep shared.

In a January 8 Instagram post, Kate shared photos and videos of the raging Palisades fire. “My daughter and I lived there for most of her childhood and most of her childhood is gone,” she wrote. “Her primary school, every shop or restaurant we used to go to with my parents and Michael’s parents -and devastatingly, most of her friends homes. My heart is broken.”

Her caption continued, “The Pacific Palisades is a community very unusual to find in Los Angeles, heavy on families with young children and pets. I’m weeping for all of the people and pets involved, so many of them I know. My heart is breaking for the families who have lost everything, and the people and their animals, not to mention the horses and all the wild animals, people’s businesses and livelihoods. This is just like hell.”

Mandy lost her Altadena home in the fires and shared heavy reflections on Instagram. “I’m in shock and feeling numb for all so many have lost, including my family,” she wrote. “My children’s school is gone. Our favorite restaurants, leveled. So many friends and loved ones have lost everything too. Our community is broken but we will be here to rebuild together.” The actress sent her love to everyone affected and everyone on the front lines.

Billy and his wife, Janice, lost the Palisades home they’ve lived in for 45 years. “Words cannot describe the enormity of the devastation we are witnessing and experiencing,” they shared in a statement to People. “We ache for our friends and neighbors who have also lost their homes and businesses in this tragedy. Janice and I lived in our home since 1979. We raised our children and grandchildren here. Every inch of our house was filled with love.”

They added, “We pray for the safety of the fire fighters and first responders. The Pacific Palisades is a resilient community of amazing people and we know in time it will rise again. It is our home.”

In a January 9 Instagram post, Bozoma revealed that her Malibu home was burned down. “This is the house I wanted,” she wrote. “The house I prayed for. The house I worked in blood, sweat and tears for … This is the house where I found peace after battling with racist neighbors and a community that made me have to buy it in a trust within a trust so no one would know that widowed, single Black woman with a teenager was buying on the exclusively-held beach.”

She continued, “This is an unimaginable loss. I grieve with the rest of Los Angeles as it burns… and even though I’ve found even words to write here, there’s nothing that I could say in this moment to describe this feeling. I ask for your prayer for Lael and I.”

Milo Ventimiglia

On January 9, Milo revealed to CBS that his Malibu home has been destroyed. He lived there with his pregnant wife, Jarah Mariano, who had already prepared a nursery for their baby.

“You start thinking about all the memories and the different parts of the house and whatnot,” the actor reflected, “and then you see your neighbors’ houses and everything around and your heart just breaks.”

He added, “I think there’s a kind of shock moment where you’re going, ‘Oh, this is real, this is happening. And at a certain point, we just turned it off. What good is it to continue watching? We kind of accepted the loss.”

In a January 9 Instagram post, Jhené wrote on Instagram that the home she shared with her two children has been burned down. “Me and my children’s home is gone,” she shared. “Burned to the ground with all of our things inside. Lord have mercy 🙏 Thankful we still have eachother 💙 starting from scratch. My heart is so heavy 💔.”
